Hmm, rather impressive. 2016 is the year of the timeshift it seems.
However, rounding 13.58 up to 14, as Broadcast did, was very questionable rounding.
Broadcast didn't round anything up.if you read the article properly it states the 13.58 total.What it does say though is that it peaked at over 14m at the end of the programme.

Well the opening episode should, considering Simon is politely moving XF to 8.15.
Alarms will be ringing if it is down.
Yes, if TXF is lower this week then I could well believe that

Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs: 3.14m EXCLUDING HD / excluding +1

Only a year to go before Coronation Street occupies this slot.

That's higher than Ingenious Animals. I wonder if it reached 3m?

Yes, if TXF is lower this week then I could well believe that
TXF " should get a lift" this week, as SCD will bring the viewers in, and so the potential ratings are there for it, with, No strong BBC1 competition at 8.15, no excuses, SCD will / should, help the ailing show.

If XF can't capture and capitalise on SCD high ratings, then it's got severe fundamental problems.

ITV are plugging Judge Rinder which may, indirectly, help Strictly

The weather looks quite poor for Saturday which should help both shows.

Not great for BBC1, 8-10 not doing well, seems people aren't interested in the football team as much as the first documentary.

Is it confirmed the 6th Corrie will go at 8:30 Thursday then?

Any rating for Out Ex-Wife, the new sitcom on BBC2 last night?

Also Ellen, the C4 drama?

Okay I managed to get the Bake Off rating for episode 1. It was 13.58m! It added 3.14m to the overnight rating of 10.44m! This is for Wednesday alone no omnibus repeat added to it!

I was also given some stats on it.

Total => 13.58m (52.0%)
4-15 => 1.05m (61.8%)
16-24 => 1.25m (65.9%)
=> record high
25-34 => 2.21m (66.0%)
35-44 => 1.96m (60.6%)
45-54 => 2.52m (58.7%)
55-64 => 1.96m (47.1%)
65+ => 2.63m (35.1%)
So almost a quarter of the population watched it. And actually a quarter of the adult population watched it it's just not as strong for kids unsurprisingly.

London, Scotland & Ulster are slightly weaker than the rest of the country but it's astonishingly consistent.

I understand why they moved it to a 10pm slot now, despite hyping it up at the TV festival and on Radio 4 it was actually a very standard documentary. After saying how they had spent months following the gangs who only agreed to take part becuase they could film the footage themselves blah blah blah, there was actually only a tiny bit of such footage with the majority of it being standard interviews filmed by production.

Gangland rated better than I thought it would to be honest. Pretty good evening for C5 in general.

What was on C4 at 10pm that got less than 430k?

A one off new hour and a half drama, Ellen. I was asking for the rating earlier in the thread.

No, it's just a theory of mine.
Thursday 8.30pm seems the most obvious (safest) slot and therefore the most likely.

I found Our Ex-Wife quite funny especially Peter Egan's character. Shame it didn't do better.

For 10pm, the ratings is good and Frow mentioned last week he wasn't expecting it to be a huge hit but more of a prestige piece, Gypsy Kids did well but the Benefits show not so much,

It wasn't mentioned yesterday but Can't Pay did 1.3m which is a solid return for the show

That's interesting so TXF and GBBO started the same year, 2004?
Would love to see the yearly averages side by side, When did TXF get big, and then start declining?
Do you mean TXF and SCD? GBBO started several years after both.
