I agree. The BBC have their belt tightened - I love Bake Off on the BBC and really wish it could stay, but in a way I would rather they let it go if it means they keep the money for other things. They could have kept Bake Off and then had to sacrifice other parts of the schedule. I'm sure the BBC have done what is in the best interests of licence fee payers. I will keep thoroughly enjoying this series. I am gutted it's going though, as it just feels like a cosy BBC show.
I will be interested to see if the on screen talent move across or not. If they do, surely a commercial channel would keep the show exactly the same? As it's already striking gold in all demographics, so why revamp anything?
If the on screen talent does change, then I can see the show being revamped and the feel of the show being different. Interesting times ahead.
