Pretty quiet all round although another good rating for Long Lost Family.

Interested to see how that bizarre sounding animal reunion thing on ITV at 8pm did. Not sure if it will have bombed hard or done alright.

Well something similar to this on BBC1 in the 8pm slot got 4m+, but ITV didn't trail it at all, so its looks like it was below 3.5m

Well we know it was below 3.158m as it didn't make the ITV Media top 10.

It's a cushy slot so shouldn't have been much lower. I'm not surprised though, it sounded bizarre.

#WildAnimalReunions started on ITV with a solid second place: 2.6m / 14.5% @TigressTV overnights.tv

In that slot that isn't solid, it's fairly poor.

Update on the Coronation Street producer situation:

It looks like Kate Oates' first credited episode is on the 15th August, not next week as originally stated.

So hopefully quality then should sky rocket

C5 (exc +1)
GPs: Behind Closed Doors: 0.94m (5.3%)
Ultimate Celebrity Power Couples: 0.45m (2.6%)
On Benefits: Life on the Dole (Repeat): 0.35m (4.2%)
Well that bombed!

Hopefully the lull before a strong few weeks with all of the new programmes in the schedule along with CBB.

The only one of these shows I watch is the "Most Shocking Celebrity moments of the year" cause I just can't help myself.

I can't wait to see how Borderline, Impractical Jokers, Lip Sync Battle and Suspects do. Hopefully Suspects will be up Series-on-Series. Series 4 had dire ratings, no thanks to Channel 5's poor decision to air it away from Celebrity Big Brother.

Some exciting viewing tonight at 9pm on BBC One.

"Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall finds out how many cardboard coffee cups are actually being recycled"

Good job the weather isn't great today.

Bet it wins the slot though. The Investigator hasn't been doing huge numbers against the weak New Blood and loses the Corrie lead-in tonight. Celebrity Big Brother might dent a few shows as well.

Actually I have seen a preview of that bit and it's very environmental educational.

The Goodnight Sweetheart revival will be taped at Media City in Salford on August 14, tickets are available via sro.
Tickets for the SCD launch show are available via the BBC Ticket Unit, as usual there will be a draw.

In the event of which, Len Goodman gets the casting vote.

Nice one - they always have a ballot for the SCD tickets because of the huge demand but it's always worth trying if you're interested and it doesn't prevent you applying for subsequent shows.

So has anyone remotely famous gone into the Big Brother house? It's the easiest of all the reality shows (you don't have to rigorously learn dance routines or get covered in spiders, all you do in CBB is sit around and try not to get involved in something that becomes an Ofcom investigation and finishes your career) so it should get the bigger names.

Still can't believe they launch the celeb one just two days after the 10 week or so civilian one has just finished. No other mainstream channel would get away with that.

It's either that, or they show benefits shows, or "Pet x makes you laugh out loud".
But...but...Dancc told me Viacom are phenomenally overhauling C5's content???

The only good show C5 does is Suspects and they bafflingly only run it for about 4 episodes at a time.

A bit like how a mainstream channel wouldn't get away with airing the same film in primetime twice in six days. Though saying that...
