I like rhetorical questions.

Channel 5 has shown a programme about benefits every Thursday since 21st April.

I agree. I didn't see it but it doesn't sound like it was much cop. It's rare that a crime drama on ITV completely bombs but this one might. That launch rating isn't amazing itself (it'd be fine for a mid-series episode but it has no room to fall) and it'll definitely drop some way. I think it'll be a long 8 weeks. I'm quite surprised at how it has turned out, Red Productions are normally good with this sort of stuff and the cast is decent.

They'll be hoping that The Level (launching next week) can do better.

The scale of it is bonkers:

On Benefits
28 episodes (so far!)

Benefits Britain
18 episodes

Benefits
4 episodes

Benefits by the Sea: Jaywick
10 episodes

The Great British Benefits Handout
4 episodes

Undercover Benefits Cheat
4 episodes

Gypsies On Benefits & Proud

...and the programme that started it all: On Benefits & Proud

70 hours and counting!

Maybe they should have put another episode of Paranoid on tonight. Or just shift it to Tuesdays. Could be another Jericho.

It's really quite sad that I get excited at the thought of doing a Corrie/EE ratings graph.

Quite in the true meaning of the word!

Tuesdays and Thursdays are really solid for 5 from 8-10pm, not many channels can retain their audience for two hours with minimal drop off.

Buzzfeed reporting the two Bake off Christmas specials WILL be shown as they were filmed a few weeks after the series ended filming

Its way too much. But they are cutting down, so by the end of this year we will have had around 80-90hrs of Benefits.

Next year will be a reduced 60hrs instead.

Whereas ITV is setting the bar real high when it comes to factual with Parking Wars and Car Wars.

At least Benefits Britain rates.

Fridays at 9pm is interesting, would have thought 8pm, they seem to making Fridays their more upmarket night as the history shows have aired there as has Ben Fogle.

Sorry Ray, I assume it was all available data to bring up a year's ratings. It sounds like you're having to spend time on it. Many thanks.

I assume the large EE aggregate is down to the Sunday omnibus being added on.
A Brucie bonus that they aren't xmas specials.
