Jake Kanter reporting that ITV are "banging down Amazon's door" for second run rights to Jeremy Clarkson's new vehicle The Grand Tour, and that the possibility of such a deal occurring has not been comprehensively ruled out by the firm, although publicly they of course claim otherwise.

I think it will end up somewhere, but I expect there'll be lucrative DVD releases first. It will probably have little ratings value to a big channel by that point. Might do okay somewhere like Dave.

Not entirely directed at you, but since its moved from BBC1 to ITV this seems to be the changing opinion.

When it was on BBC1, many on here raved about it, defended it. SamuelW, ADP, icedragon used to be very vocal about supporting this show, but I imagine they have no interest in it anymore.

But its taken a move from BBC to ITV for many to admit, it isn't a very good show. In fact its pants!
Can you please *stop* using posters names, and then quoting what you think they are thinking, and taking it out of context, I have never changed my mind, never posted a change in mind about TVUK but you choose to incorrectly quote my posting name! Why?

I have posted I liked TVUK on its shows for series 1/2/3 but I liked it less without Sir Tom. Some here would post the " same old, same old" generic posts after shows quoting the " low production values" when on one live show, say a camera is in shot.

But I have Not posted any negative comment re TVUK on ITV and would ask you to try to find it, as you choose to quote my name, in this post, so " evidence" please to support your post, thank you!

Could this thread stick to ratings and comments on TV and not, be taken down a route of one or two posters in just having a go at some posters as they hold a different view to you.

Any rating for Question Time Ray?
Last week's Question Time isn't in Broadcast's Top 100 and there isn't a separate list for current affairs as there sometimes is. All I can tell you is it was under 2.07m.

Thanks Ray

Superb rating for Ch5 against Bake-Off. Should be 1.1m inc+1. Shows that you can still get an audience up against a monster hit.
Considering that it's been running in that slot since last October and this is the fourth series, it's proven to be a solid performer for 5.

Had a bit of a dilemma with my PVR for next Thursday as can only record two shows at the same time. For the first time in a while wanted 9pm recordings on three channels!

Settled on shifting Hunted to Channel 4+1 and recording The Apprentice and Paranoid at 9pm.

lots and lots of TV at the moment

What's so great about Hunted, if you don't mind me asking?

Looks awfully staged to me. And as a concept, basically an elaborate game of hide and seek for adults, it does nothing for me whatsoever. Couldn't think of a more dull way to spend an hour.

I was bemused at the level of confidence C4 apparently had in this hugely flimsy format beforehand and the fairly mediocre viewing figures for the opener were no surprise to me to be perfectly honest with you.

Watch it pile on the viewers now I've said all of that.

Could you not record two and download the third? That way you get them all in HD. I assume you watch Apprentice live as that's the one without adverts.

If it's as bad as Dancc says, will Hunted be Shunted ?

I agree it seems massively staged to me, I enjoyed the first series but won't be watching any more.

ITV really should just delete his scenes from all future episodes of Corrie. When the cops are investigating your actor for hate crimes...

I didn't see the first series. I think I like the concept even though it's clearly quite staged in places. I found myself suspending disbelief a lot but getting quite into it.. I guess the best way to describe it for me was a bit of a childish romp? It might not hold my interest though after tonight in which case my recording conundrum will be solved

That's a good idea. I can watch The Apprentice via BBC iPlayer app on my Apple TV, which would be in HD. Kudos for the tip!

I hope you remember your own advice then the next time you consider posting another embarrassing anti X Factor "sketch" like you did last Autumn.

Superb rating. The BBC will miss this. And Ch4 will regret it. Bake-Off will not even get half of this rating on Ch4.
Incredible...4 million ABOVE corrie, next best on Wednesday......and more than OG and DCI Banks put together!!

Unfortunately, that's absolutely impossible. The scenes were filmed 6 weeks ago. Any material cut has to be replaced with something. Any replacement scenes filmed put the cast behind schedule.

See the predicament Corrie is in?

Yes and I assume some of those scenes ripple.
Well at least the producers at Corrie have, shall we say, been here before in recent years.

Apparently Anwar won't feature for 3 weeks and the storyline's "reveal" has been shot.

Troubling predicament but I think they should just let it play out and minimise any unnecessary scenes whilst retaining storyline continuity.

The fact he's a "villain" in the plot probably makes it easier to justify in a weird way.

It's someone who's not long come in, I don't know her name. A friend of the family.

I can understand why they want to minimize his time on screen for what he has already filmed but why not let it just play out. We know he has done something wrong. Why do TV people and celebs become 'pariahs' when they do something wrong. It just wouldn't happen in real life.

No surprise, the ratings were terrible, it was lucky to even get series 2.

I didn't say you "had" changed your mind about TVUK as fact, but said "i imagine" you have changed your opinion it. And I'm not going to trall through a years worth posts just to find a negatve comment from you on TVUK moving to ITV, I'm not that bothered.

But he fact is you were very vocal on your support of TVUK on BBC1, that is fact. But as you state you didn't like it much without Tom Jones. Well he's back now, but will you still be watching?

I don't see where I had a go at you, I merely mentioned your name.

BIB Oh the irony!
