So series high for The Musketeers
I'm willing to put that down to last week's ep which was excellent as opposed to the one on Saturday which was back to the usual low standard of this final season.

Love Island on Tuesday consolidated to a whopping 1.8m, while Family Guy on Monday saw its highest rating on ITV2 with 1.2m at 10pm.

Netflix win rights to show the new Star Trek series in UK from January.

Not a surprise given that on 1 July all the Star Trek films and all the various TV series (every episode of all) went on Netflix UK.

Bit of a clue.

Wonder if Sky even bid?

In fact it will air on Netflix everywhere outside North America in 188 countries.

Within 24 hours of the US screening.

So Sky probably never even got a look in.

Very disappointing news. Hopefully the 'premiere' window with Netflix isn't too long so it can be screened by a TV channel not too long after. I imagine that Sky, Channel 5 or Syfy would be interested.

I don't have Netflix but hopefully they be other ways to watch.
Would rather it have been on Sky or Syfy channel.

New Quiz show Cash Trapped starts on ITV 1st August at 5pm hosted by Bradley Walsh. This will replace The Chase for 10 weeks.

Though a show like this airing in 190 countries simultaneously (or within the same 24 hours) could set some ratings records - surely. And maybe that is what they are after to create a buzz for a show that must be a gamble after several years break.

Sky 1 (exc. +1)

Zoo: 0.18m (0.9%)
Seems like a low start for the new series of Zoo last night. It started very high last year but quickly settled at a decent level. Series 1 averaged 843k in the consolidated numbers (inc +1).

Friday overnights

Coronation Street (8.30pm): 7m (34.5%)

including +1

Not bad then for Corrie. I assume that is the tape-checked number.

Corrie was good tonight. I really like how they used the set for David's chase scene. Kate Oates must have had a hand in that. No way would Blackburn had an idea like that. Nice to see the set utilised much more than usual.

Yes decent figure for Corrie. It was really good tonight too. The use of the set was something I noticed too. It must have been Kate Oates. I know that better use of the set will be a priority for her. Incidentally she will officially be credited as Producer from next week. Hopefully Corrie is finally on the up.

I can't work out why Celebrity Chase does so badly. It must just be the slot. Tuesday's at 8 would be better.
It was a repeat, though.

Agree with this - was there anything new on ITV in primetime at all yesterday apart from the news?
No, ITV on Sunday, outside the news, was all repeats from 9.25am to after midnight. Weekend at 8.30am was new. I'm sure it makes sense to someone.

That story is run every single time a new producer takes over a soap, it's so lazy.

#BriefEncounters provided support in the right places with slot-winning 4.4m/22.6% for ITV from 9pm @cplprod overnights.tv

Looks to be holding steady. Same audience as last week but a higher share as fewer people were watching TV.

Thanks Ray!

I expected worse ratings all round to be honest with the hot weather. Eden being in the high 1s is what I expected.
