Exactly this. They don't mind dubbing over loud unnecessary tram noises during scenes, but don't want real ones.

Plus they was moaning about Old Trafford not so long back was they not?

Maybe they will want the industrial estates to the south closed down next?
It's not exactly difficult to work out why it's going to be a problem.

I seriously wonder about ITV and their decision making. So many hosts you could choose from...

http://www.alanhudson.net/magic/the-...reat-magician/

Well tbh, for a magician series Stephen Mulhern is a the correct choice. Rochelle Humes is pretty boring/safe choice.

The problem is, if ITV relies to heavily on a select number of presenters, viewers I think will automatically dismiss a show.

I do find Stephen Mulhern entertaining, particuarly on BGMT and Catchphrase. But some of the shows he's been handed (Pick Me, Go For It) tarnish his reputaton slightly.

But ITV do seem to be branching out, trying out different people to present i.e. Dawn French, Warwick Davis.

I would much prefer Stephen to Schofield.

Still Game. Over half the audience is in Scotland and the rest of the country isn't that interested in it it seems.

They've repeated this millions of times. Why don't they do a series of it? In fact, why not just bring back TOTP2?

EastEnders up again on Thursday. 2nd highest rating of the week after Monday's.

I'm hoping that the figures continue to rise.

That's the highest EE Friday since April! Slightly unexpected seeing Friday as the second biggest rating of the week and will probably be the biggest in the consolidated ratings.

True, but if Still Game could just get a few more visitors outside Scotland it would be closer to 4m. If BBC1 could find a compatible comedy with HIGNFY the drop off at 9.30pm wouldn't be so noticeably big.

What is their obsession with Stephen Mulhern!!!!
He's a trained magician so he's a logical choice to present a magic series.
That's why Mulhern is the host. Actually he probably would be even if he didn't do magic!

People forget that Mulhern is a very good magician, he just does basic presenting now. He used to throw in a few magic tricks while presenting in his early CITV days.

Thanks Ray.

BBC2 having a good night. These hour long Gardener's World editions are working well for them. Also helps that they're going for the older audience on the night.

Is last night's Friday share for EastEnders the same as when they had the good rating in April? Friday having the second highest rating of the week is unexpected.

I dont think Still Game is going anywhere im sure it will return but I think it will get a less prominent network slot but stay in a primetime slot in Scotland.

At least it's not Vernon Kay
Err, Stephen mulhern is a magician by trade

How about thinking first instead of just launching into more tired ITV bashing

Well there aren't many other Scottish comedies are there ? MBB is technically a BBC NI/RTE co-production which happens to be made in Glasgow.

Or click here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-37653520 for less sensationalised less Daily Star version of the story.
It was actually the Manchester Evening News I was reporting from!

No, I can understand that, of course. But they decided to move from a location nowhere near any trams to one with a line not far away already and clearly did not do much checking as the idea of extending it to the Trafford Centre is far from new.

This is not ITV or Corrie bashing, by the way. I have happily worked for Granada over the years and wrote some of the displays for their theme park when they operated it around the old Corrie set.

I just found it amusing given that they add tram noises in to the episodes all the time.

Fairly similar

Friday 22nd April: 5.95m (30.1%)
Last night: 5.95m (29.9%)

So practically the same as well as being the same rating. Also the previous Friday (15 April) was the last time it passed 6m on a Friday. Hopefully it continues to rise and that might be possible next week.
