A celeb who is going in?

It might be better if IAC drip fed the bigger name celebs announcements like Strictly do, rather than announcing them all at once. You get a different story in the press each time then.

We're stacking The Missing and most other dramas until we've got them all and watch nightly.

Only drama we're watching same week at the moment is Westworld. That's purely because of the hype.

Black Mirror season three launched in Netflix last night, all six episodes. Anyone watched any yet?

I'd imagine it will be who is going in, maybe someone linked to The X Factor in the past?

Oh wow, Emmerdale might have pipped Corrie in +1/HD figures?

Drip feeding the I'm A Celeb contestant announcements through ad breaks, GMB/Lorraine/This Morning/Loose Women would be a good idea.

Brilliant for Emmerdale.

I take it from those numbers for BBC 2, that QI was quite low for its new series

Excellent rating for Emmerdale. Social media full of buzz too.

Great Emmerdale rating, over 7m and a massive 37.5% share and almost 1.5m ahead of EastEnders, how often does all that happen?

Corrie looks decent compared to recent times as well.

Corrie had a shock stunt last night but I have to say I think it just highlighted how poor a state the show is in. The show really lacks likeable characters quite frankly. The characterisation is so poor to the extent that I didn't care about any of the characters involved. The stunt itself looked ridiculous especially following on from the one in ED.

ED on the other hand was truly gripping because the characters involved are all interesting/complex and many of them very likeable. Plus of course the stunt was spectacular and looked very expensive.

I truly think that this is the end of Corrie and EE as "the big two" soaps. ED has shown it can compete in quality and ratings.

Fantastic for Emmerdale. That share is super and to see 7m for it is great. Well deserved as well.

Well done ITV - finally your soaps managing 7m by themselves ...............

Err I mean by the sensationalist laughable stunts/effects by both this week. No doubt had some casual viewers tuning in who don't normally watch (my mum was one) be back to normal next week no doubt nothing to see here!

If EastEnders had aired the same sort of episodes you'd be hailing it as a masterpiece.

That's a big rating for EF - that share is especially impressive. Clearly it has boosted CS too which also had a very good night.
I'm surprised 1.5m viewers didn't flick to EE on BBC1. That does suggest these were floating eyeballs and not soap fans per se.

Clearly we now have a big3 soaps and you wonder how well EE and CS would do at 7pm. It'll be interesting to see how long ITV can retain these viewers before returning to 32%/6m level.

Props to ITV for pulling in 1m new viewers to its channel at the start of the Xmas run in. I imagine many are lost OAP viewers. I do wonder why ITV did this just before the Xmas adverts launch.
They are due at the start of November. Will they be brave enough to launch on Halloween XF?
