Trust a little 3-minute segment at the end of a programme to get more users onto this thread than most ratings do. Simon should feel complimented!
A 3 minute segment symbolic of a show that insults the intelligence of its viewers.

They should have just not bothered with the juke box this week.

So yeah, like we didn't know it was going to end on fright night JUST in time for Halloween. Fix.

As Score correctly said, I think it was all part of the joke. Not to be taken seriously.

Oh here you go again. If you don't like it, dear, I think it's about time you stopped posting about it after all these years!

The Sun is reporting this " fix" - and the DS X Factor forum as well.

They can't get a lot right.

If people are complaining that the Jukebox is fixed then... well it's certainly done it's job as a distraction. Or it just shows the desperation of some (trying to make something out of it) - one or the other.

Over the years people have constantly talked about how fixed the actual results are - and people are surprised that they don't actually choose the theme randomly?

This has probably been mentioned but I notice they've chaged the name of the I'm A Celebrity spin off from ...Now! to Extra Camp.

I have no words.

Exactly, the thing is, does anyone actually care?

What?? Well, that is totally pointless.

The Walking Dead returns tomorrow night at 9pm. After ending on that cliffhanger last season, I expect it will do pretty well and might take some viewers away from the main channels. I also notice it's actually been shown in the early hours at 2.30am as like a first look option (same time it's shown in American maybe?!). I wonder if this is just a one off or a new thing for this season like Game of Thrones do. Could split the audience if so, but not sure how many people will know this. Anyway, I've got it set for 2.30am so I don't have to wait until 9pm tomorrow night.

And this has to do with ratings, what exactly...?
This isn't just a ratings thread. There is scope for general tv discussion otherwise this thread would only be alive for brief periods.

It's a bit of a joke. It's not like the viewers are being cheated in any way.

I wonder how many Halloween parties next week will have SCD and XF on in the background. Viewers that will never be counted.

Only in this thread is a light bit of fun taken deadly seriously, like someone said last week, when a show is now disliked around here, every single thing is jumped on. Yet if something like that happened on I'm a Celeb or Takeaway or something that is generally liked, it would be taken for what it is, a bit of fun.

So yeah, like we didn't know it was going to end on fright night JUST in time for Halloween. Fix.

Are you two being serious, really?

I thought you disliked The Sun and their paper thin often made up TV stories? Or is that only when it's a story about the BBC?

Maybe the jukebox is suffering from mental illness. I don't think we should start jumping to conclusions.

I haven't watched The X Factor since the first live show (I think the show died a bit at six chair challenge which should've been axed and ruined the good vibes shown so far, and then totally at Judges Houses when acts who people liked and had been on 'hero's journeys' such as Christopher Peyton or Christian Burrows were sent home) but on the first live show result they did not make it clear the wheel was fake, they made out it rested on total chance what the theme would be next week.

It's clear the wheel is not randomised but just a visual way of showing the next theme. But it is misleading, and it is taking the piss a bit as they didn't make clear it was a jokey way of showing what was pre-determined. The first week it made it seem like it was chance. Haven't seen since so don't know if they cleared it up a bit after that.

I don't think it's unreasonable to moan about that, either way.

From the Mirror: "A spokesperson for the show once again stressed that the series is not fixed: "Themes on the jukebox are genuinely chosen by random choice. It's pure coincidence."

LOL

On a serious notes I wonder whether a few more 'controversies' will now be thrown out considering it's approaching departure?

Did people really expect Mary and Paul would have time to do that on the day of filming!

I think we need some more ratings.

So, with ITV's big soap week I asked around to see if somebody could let me know how they're doing compared to last year. Somebody could and they sent me this.

Consolidated averages up to 14th October:
Coronation Street - 7.62 million (down 5.5 percent y-o-y)
EastEnders - 6.85 million (down 3.6 percent y-o-y)
Emmerdale - 6.41 million (down 1.0 percent y-o-y)

Discuss.
I presume EastEnders decline is a bit less with the Emmerdale clash episodes stripped out. ITV aggressively scheduled Emmerdale against it all summer.

Seems so.

Hardly some major scandal. Isn't it still their recipe so technically 'their' product?

It must be quite bad if even you've given up ish the way you supported it on here before
