I'll be kind and say it needs a little work.

Splash got 5m in the first series.
Are they all ITV shows? Never heard of Let's Get Gold and you missed Bang on the Money. But someone can do a similar list for BBC 1.

FYI - I was joking about EE being behind Corrie. Just joining on to the silly channel supporting posts.
For me ITV on a Monday is similar to Tuesdays in its dire output. At least it has the 9pm drama.

Both BBC1 and ITV are hopeless between 7-9 normally on weekdays. You used to see Noel, Des, Brucie, Wogan, Bob and sitcoms once upon a time.

Like cylon says, primetime has lost its way.

Personally Corrie was average at best last week and last night. Emmerdale was the soap to watch.”

I wonder what it will take for you to criticise EastEnders.

I said Emmerdale was the soap to watch not EastEnders. I just feel Corrie's ratings are undeserving that's all.

Both ITV soaps are coming off the back of a massive week so it's hardly surprising there'd be out in front.

That's a pretty standard Monday rating for EE and nothing to faff about imo.

The new Radio Times suggesting BBC chiefs are looking at moving series 3 of Poldark back to Spring as to avoid a clash with Victoria

That's odd. It isn't as if it has benefited hugely since it finished. Even against a fairly ropey drama in Tut. It's gone up a bit, but hardly pulling up any trees at this point.

Maybe Victoria did the damage early on and that's that, a recovery is unlikely and moving it elsewhere seems a waste of time.

Privately they will be quite disappointed with it I'd imagine. A high rating drama certainly at least in 2016 terms, and very dependable, but it's not going to live up to the promise it showed in its first series.

Splash was far from a flop. Neither was You're Back In the Room.

Also the BBC have a similarly bad track record of Saturday night light entertainment excluding Strictly. Anyone remember Tumble? Never has there been a more aptly named programme .

Surely then that will mean a quick turn around for series 3 in production?

If this is true, clearly the BBC were disappointed in its performance this year, and want to give it easier compeition in the Spring. Personally I would leave it in its current slot.

It looks like they had a mezzanine level that needed filling. So empty and cold. Bit like what Sky can be like sometimes (am I right folks!)

Looks like ITV's late night chat show will be airing after IAC, going off a post in the broadcasting forum about a new chat show being shot in a London theatre.

This might just give the show a fighting chance. Depends who the host is. It's going to have to be brilliant to stop everybody turning over for the BBC News.

Not good news for IAC's spinoff, the new title of which I've already forgotten.

I guess it depends which audience they target. David Williams might be good. He works for both younger and older audiences

Apparently the IAC spin off is a new format this year. It'll either be a hit, or be like that time when Kelly Osbourne hosted it, where it returns to the previous format the following year.

In any case how many watch the spin off? 10%? 15%?, there are still loads of viewers available.

Err by 'out in front' I obviously meant with a gap that size. The two are normally much closer.

Stop stirring the pot.

Of course in this thread, if one episode drops much lower due to particularly hard competition, then it should be axed immediately.

Celebrity Juice wouldn't be airing this Autumn if some here were in charge.

An interesting article in the RadioTimes, which basically emulates the feeling on here at the moment with X Factor:

http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2016-...ith-the-series

The fake jukebox is really the symbol of the shows fakery. Strictly appears far more genuine, which is perhaps why it's doing better.

I'm an X Factor viewer, but it's getting a bit ridiculous. The judges nudging each other for controversial/funny moments is getting a bit boring. It personally gets to a certain point where I can no longer turn my eye to the fakery, as it starts to insult my intelligence.

Remember this is the Radio Times, the place that put Pointless Celebrities above X Factor in its 'Best Shows On Today' section. I think that's enough for anyone not to take it remotely seriously.

Only one columnist in that rag says anything positive about Syco, and that's Emma Daly- http://www.radiotimes.com/authors/emma-daly/ - she's pretty great, but they need more than one great writer for me to take them seriously.

Taking that into account, the 9pm rating is excellent.

I understand Fox isn't reliant on advertising to make money, but given this is a show which has been known to do 900,000 in the overnights, a lot of viewers by any digital channel's standards, let alone a pay channel, it seems utterly bizarre that they would actively drive down audiences for the main screening in this way.

We all know the actual simulcast itself is essentially just a marketing gimmick as next to nobody bothers staying up for these, certainly working people. But the ability to record it and watch later, or in our case stream it on demand, will end up really damaging Fox's "live" ratings which was really useful for them in promoting other shows on the channel, and let's be honest they aren't exactly blessed with many hits.

I don't get the thinking behind it, I must say. But the episode itself was a 10 out of 10. Unbelievably tense and powerful drama. Andrew Lincoln's acting was utterly incredible, during one scene in particular.”

Some ratings for The Walking Dead's simulcast on Fox.
