The 8pm Channel 4 rating might be interesting as according to another thread, the advertised programme disappeared half way through after the 2nd ad break to be replaced by a filler programme, due to unspecified "technical problems".

Maybe another channel poached it.

I hope I'm wrong and that PE2 stays in the 8pm slot for the duration because that would be a neat alternative to X Factor, but I strongly suspect I'm right.”

Glad to be wrong. I made my assertion because there didn't appear to be any other dramas on the horizon for the 9pm slot.

This is a good slot for Planet Earth. With its Strictly lead-in, it has a good chance of matching Antiques Roadshow's 5m+ overnight (and will probably time-shift considerably more than AR). I'm A Celebrity would present much tougher competition, especially the launch show and the final.

The last episode of Planet Earth will clash with the final of X Factor but the final will presumably run until 10pm so it would be possible to watch Planet Earth and then see who's won X Factor.

I think QI is up on its last series launch with Stephen Fry.

With Planet Earth II going to Sundays at 8pm, I wonder what Mondays at 9pm might be? I'm thinking it's a drama like 10 Rillington Place but it could easily be Who Do You Think You Are

I can see the late night chat show having a lot of reality guests seeing as though ITV can see it as an opportunity to promote shows like the only was is Essex or any other reality tv shows. In terms of viral views the Graham Norton show clips sometimes gets millions of views when there is a Hollywood star but this chat show will only feature B class britsh guests so I don't think that's a route for them.

Bit careless in BBC1 Presentation - they are running trails for GBBO ''tomorrow'' when it's actually on tonight.

I don't think it'll be much of a problem for C4 - when Friday Night with Jonathan Ross started, it went head to head with Graham Norton, and Norton beat it every week. Hopefully the shows will be sufficiently different. I can't see this ITV show doing that much, to be honest. I don't think there's an appetite for this kind of thing every night. Different in America because all channels show the same programmes every night so people can put it in their schedules.

I've never seen this in the Radio Times. What I can see in the new Radio Times is that Pointless Celebrities on Saturday is not a choice, but The X Factor is. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that the list might be in chronological order, is it?

They don't "dislike" soaps, they don't get wall to wall coverage and appear on the cover every week (though they have had many covers) but they are always highlighted when something is interesting, like any other show. They have their place like everything else. Anyway, I was reading What's On TV at my parents' house the other week and I see it's had a "Great New Look", which looks incredibly similar to the old look, but the only difference I can see is that they no longer run features on Hollyoaks, Neighbours and Home and Away in the soap section. Where are the cries of bias there, I wonder?

OK, you knew it was coming... It's still going to rate higher than The Agenda. Actually, it probably will.

1.5m saved the date with #MarriedAtFirstSight last night, making C4 the best performing commercial channel at 9pm

Sounds like the ITV flop zone continues.

On Tuesday's they ought to just air a big film from 8pm and move News at Ten to 10.30. That's bound to get at least 2 mil if a decent film.

No surprises with the ITV ratings. They need to put the effort in every night. Put some rules into force, that if any of the main channels put a cost cutting schedule, they are fined and it's bosses are banned from working in the media for stifling creativity.
