Quite surprising how healthy ITV Regional is, considering it's on half an hour earlier, and the distinct lack of quality compared to their BBC's local offering.

If only they could build and focus on their flagship 6PM shows.

EE last night 5.9m and 30%.

All three seem to be settling down at a solid level. Few other shows get 6m after all.

Legends of Tomorrow following in the 250k tradition. It seems sky can expect similar ratings for their DC shows. I wouldn't be surprised if the ratings double after 7 days. Sky still loses viewers to those people who are watching American shows via Plex systems. I used to work with people who has home systems set up that looked like Netflix with their vast catalogues of downloaded TV and movies.

Wasn't Paul O'Grady a repeat last night? That's very good if so.

I thought Buble at the BBC might have made it into the top 10, but it was a bit of a weird slot for it.

Emmerdale is doing really well. Its taken on EE and won, now its creeping back up on Corrie. Its just a shame The Black Death has arrived back to put a stop to Emmerdale's success.

Oh give me strength. 0.3m viewers. Something to be proud of? Give this twerp the heve-ho.

I imagine the boost is thanks to CJ afterwards. I am fed up of seeing TOWIE trash all over ITV: On This Morning, on Celeb Juice, on I'm A Celeb, on Loose Women. They all seem to be fame hungry, and ITV give them their own shows.

Well Xmas seems to have arrived on TV. Harrods have released their advert and John Lewis are expected to tease theirs on XF this weekend and Very have gone big on theirs.

Meanwhile your weekend afternoons are now sorted as C5 have lots of their xmas TV movies on. Hohoho.

Couldn't agree more. It's not just Towie trash, it's also X Factor rejects. It's still unforgivable that they parachuted Jake Quickenden into the IAC jungle straight after XF, that was really scraping the barrel.

Even if they axe EJE, he will still have a slot on Celebrity Juice and other shows, so he won't go away.

Good grief! Why does this rubbish still get churned out. The two names are not what they used to be. They have both had their day. "The American Reem" tagline that was given to the previous is embarrassing and a clear insult to the audience's intelligence that they need a preposterous tagline to promote the show. I mean who uses "Reem" anymore? Was it ever used?

I swear Kerry Katona has done these TV tell all shows before? Oh yes as I type I remember she was on Piers Morgan's Life Stories a show that was brilliant at the time as the interviews used to draw out real heartbreaking aspects of these celebrities lives but as it went on the stories had already been told and nothing was suprising anymore.

I think there is a space for hard hitting interview style shows. I seem to remember Pamela Connelly's Shrink Rap actually was a simple yet effective show. Her Joan Rivers interview was brilliant. Who could forget Frost the ultimate interviewer whose interviews were "Event Television" Kilroy was a poor Frost imitation but still they had a goot level of quality to them. Or are candid TV interviews a thing of the past as celebrities continue to sell out to the rags? I don't know, I suppose it is dependant on the type of celebrity interviewed.

ITV, the UK's biggest commercial broadcaster does for it's corporate font type.

'ITV Reem'. Say's it all really...

I'm sorry, but I find all this a bit unpleasant. These posts seem to be suggesting that someone should be fired and never work in television again, which is personalising things to a ridiculous degree. Stuart Blackburn has a career, a family and a life and suggesting he shouldn't be offered jobs and people are stupid to hire him is totally unfair. You don't know the man at all.

You're basing this on the perception he was personally responsible for all that was bad about Coronation Street. A lot of the time he was probably told what to do anyway. There are many layers of executives and managers above the producer of a soap, and they can overrule and meddle with all his decisions. And the producer can only work with the team and the budget they have anyway. It's a ridiculous argument.

Maybe he wasn't the best producer Corrie has ever had, but also then to take issue with him being hired as a writer is ridiculous. Maybe he's a really good writer who struggled with some of the roles of being a producer. Let alone the fact that his scripts will be overseen by a script editor, Emmerdale's own producer and the management there as well. How can a producer be singlehandedly reponsible for all that's bad about Corrie, and then in a different role "ruin" Emmerdale all by themselves as well.

Imagine Stuart Blackburn reading some of that stuff. People who've never met or worked with him slagging off his professionalism and suggesting he should never work again. What a horrible attitude. It's embarrassing to read.

Would imagine the soaps are in the same position as Dr Who, in that the list of people BBC/ITV consider would be experienced enough to be producers on them is short, and the list of experienced people who actually want the job is shorter still.
