You say that, but what is going to tempt them on ITV? Cheap LE, as tonight will be proven yet again with Next Great Magician, which is so obvious going to be a flop.

The Sunday 9PM ITV slot is now self contained, much like XF is on a Saturday Night.

Downton Abbey seemed to attract those people, put shows on people like to watch and they'll switch.

Very good for bonfire night.

Slightly down on previous weeks- but not much.

Both pretty static on last week despite Bonfire Night.

I think its a good thing itv are trying out new shows, even if they do flop, theyve had a fair share of new dhows past fes years. Bbc1 should be trying out some new ones also.

Bonfire Night doesn't seem to have had too much of an impact on either. The Strictly train keeps on motoring and ITV will probably be relieved X Factor wasn't lower.

I notice Osman has made a remark about X Factor dipping slightly below Casualty at the very end...failing to realise that X Factor ended 5 minutes early.

What's XF ratings got to do with Richard Osman?

Looks like TXF had a peak of 6.6 million

Bonfire night hasn't affected the big two shows on Saturday night. A good result there for TXF and Strictly

Ouch. Peak of just 6.6 is not good.

X Factor looks to have averaged 5.60m and peaked at 6.65m.

He is just as allowed as any of us in this thread to show an interest in ratings. He does work in television, you know.

Pointless is on a new series and had a £11k winner on Friday.

Nothing, he presumably has some kind of access and is just reporting them to the world. However I doubt he would be if XF was getting 10 million rather than 5.6. XF is far nearer Pointless than it is Strictly.

He's been very quiet on that one recently. It's funny, I remember him gloating about the ratings to Bradley Walsh when he was on Play To The Whistle earlier in the year. His appearance was filmed in January but didn't air until April...by which point The Chase was firmly in the lead.

TXF is doing fine for it's live Saturday shows. It appears to have stabilised considering it's younger audience will have been busy with Halloween and Bonfire parties for the last two weeks.

Hopefully we will see figures back above 6 for a Saturday show.

Considering he works in TV, probably more than you? Yet, you are discussing ratings?

Well frankly, I'd be concerned if it wasn't the most watched show of the night. Not sure that's worthy of a boast.
