SCD Results ended early as predicted at 19.55, but trailers inbetween. Clauidia promoted Planet Earth at the end of SCD.
4/5 trailers between the show shows, PE starts at 19.59. |

I believe The X Factor final is at Wembley again this year. TalkTalk fund quite a bit of it I think as they fill the arena with competition winners and their customers, so I don't think it takes as much out of the budget as you might expect.
On a similar note, I think if they are going to keep stripping the BGT live shows across a week it might be worth hiring out an arena for the week rather than finding a replacement studio. Could make the week into more of an event again. Wouldn't be doable for X Factor as they couldn't afford to hire an arena out for the full run, but for BGT it would be worth doing I think. Plus if Sky1's Got To Dance could afford to do it (in 2014 for their live week) I'm sure BGT can.

I don't think I've heard of any of those? Unless the first one is the former IAC host?

Laura Whitmore.
Daisy Lowe. Tameka Empson. Danny Mac. Claudia Fragapane. I still think that's a high standard for the ones you've never heard of, an EastEnders actress, a Hollyoaks actor and an Olympic gymnast. |

Won't The Chase be better supporting a new programme in the Winter, rather than a new programme going into a new programme, which you've criticised in the past?
I can't imagine anyone deciding to watch TXF based on what is on isn't on before. Nobody is going to decide to tune in at this stage based on The Chase or Tipping Point being on before it. Your excuse for TXF getting poor lead in's is that it won't make a difference. Well it will because if ITV start with 1.5m just before TXF starts, it has thefore got to build up an audience from a much lower base, than if it was leading in from a 4m programme. Would SCD have been nearly 10m av. if BBC1 had scheduled Can't Touch This is Pointless' 6pm slot? No it wouldn't. It would have to grow from a lower base, and which would therefore pull down its average. A large chunk of TV viewers will usually stick with one channel all night, if it has a good programmes from early evening until late night. That is why BBC1 on Sunday does so well. Each programme feeds into another attracting a similar audience. ITV on the other hand, can break up their audience quite easily with one poor programme, as MTP highlighed ast night. Tipping Point started nuilding up the viewers at 6pm, only for MTP to piss away 2m viewers, thus weakening the schedule. That is what ITV need to do. To find a successful schedule. |

I see those commenting on the declining quality of the X Factor guests haven't exactly leaped forward to mention Robbie Williams and Emile Sande performing tonight...
Clearly they can still get the bookings. |

Ah right. Thanks for confirming. Out of interest what is happening to the current studio? I've read a few comments on here saying they won't be using it, but what the reason?!

Yes, Laura Whitmore was host of IACGMOOHN
I'd heard of the last three. I still think that's a high standard for the ones you've never heard of, an EastEnders actress, a Hollyoaks actor and an Olympic gymnast. My father in law always thought male celebrities had a bug disadvantage on DoI since they had to do the lifting. |

TXF is weak. Vulnerable. What is the point in placing new, untested programmes on before TXF, only for it to flop under 2m (like MTP) and provide yet another poor lead in.

I think someone mentioned this earlier. It's just said that the apps for XF next year close 1st July 2017. But aren't the auditions all filmed way before that? I wonder if this means it's starting later next year or the format is changing?!

Tipping Point has gained a million viewers since it stopped clashing with SCD. It still lost badly to Pointless too.

You have overlooked one big thing that may effected that stalling of momentum around 7pm last night.
I don't see why you are so difficult about this scheduling suggestion. You act like ITV cannot do better than 1.5m at 7pm and that they should just accept it. Anyone who says otherwise, has no idea what they're talking about. TP and TC so well on Weekdays. I see no reason why the can't on Saturday. |

Well since The Chase can manage 3m+ against SCD on Sunday with a sub 2m lead in. I'm pretty sure it could manage 3m+ n that 7pm Saturday slot with a TP lead in.

TP is close to Pointless on weekdays but loses by a lot on Saturdays. |
