Just a bit! Weeks of newspaper speculation, online theories, possible air dates, gotta be David Bowie, fake student videos - Eventually trending all day on social media followed by millions of views in a few hours.. and all for a bloody commercial?

John Lewis: King of advertising!

When you consider they don't really advertise on television until Christmas, the fact they can get the nation tuned in to this one Christmas ad is a feat. I bet most companies would want the marketing team John Lewis has

Does anyone know what the drama Dark Heart rated the other night on ITV Encore? I thought it was pretty good. Is there a reason why it was dumped on this channel?

Because it's an ITV Studios production commissioned by ITV Encore?

This could be quite a significant year as I suspect they'll be an advert that'll be widely considered to be superior. They may have had their XF 2008 Final and have peaked. (yes I know the ratings rose but 2008 was the daddy final - I watched it last night).

The Apprentice is so consistent. Love it.

Obviously that'll all end with the IAC clashes next week though. Still, Thursdays for the next 3 weeks will be spectacular nights of reality TV.

Emmerdale topping the night and beating both EE and Corrie is a big deal (even though Corrie was out of slot, it's still a surprise!) Though very close between the top 3 soaps - seems strong for EE too.

Solid for The Apprentice as ever.

Emmerdale very strong once again. I'm really enjoying it at the moment. It is probably my favourite soap overall. EastEnders doing quite well again and Corrie below EE.

The Apprentice is so consistent and is a great show. It's shame that IAC will be clashing with it as it will dent both shows however Thursday,Saturday and Sunday will be strong nights for reality/talent shows.

I'm guessing strong ratings for this Sunday with Both SCD and IAC over 10m and X Factor getting a series high for live shows with nearly 7m.

I'm not sure if The X Factor will jump that much if at all on Sunday - it's against Planet Earth.

Well there is that but the question still remains why they're doing fresh material on what's supposed to be a greatest hits album!

Its not though ITV encore is meant to have its own dramas as well as repeats.

Because it's the channel's remit. I expect a name change for Encore in the future.
