Indeed, all the things people used to slag off Ross over are still occurring on his show, the silly games, the same questioning style, having his mates on every series, but now he's rating well, it's acceptable again!

The problem with those shows was that besides the small number of household names, you'd have very obscure comedians appearing who would struggle to get a place on a Channel 4/BBC2 panel show and might just get a spot on one on ITV2. Not prime time BBC1 material.
It was obvious a twenty something edgy comedian straight from Edinburgh Fringe, doing straight forward stand up wouldn't appeal to over 60s watching BBC1.
