Yes, that's the style Ross now uses. His hero Letterman did it and Aspel and Company used to do it with the audience donutting the stage. Ross needs a new set but the show is alive again. These increased ratings should lead to more Hollywood guests.

Why won't Harry Hill do Burp but will do Tea Time?
Because making TV Burp involved watching hours and hours and hours of television very, very carefully which was a lot more stressful than it sounds.

Is it the case that Harry has a new show starting on ITV next year?

It is indeed. A panel show called Harry Hill's Alien Fun Capsule.

Not sure when it's airing but I presume it'll get a Saturday teatime slot. 6.30/7pm maybe. Hopefully it is 30 minutes and not 45 or 60, as is the tendency these days.

Limited run, all filmed over a couple weeks?

Goggled that and found some details......https://www.comedy.co.uk/tv/harry_hi...n_fun_capsule/

Be interesting to see how that does. I expect I'll watch it. Haven't watched Tea Time. I tend not to notice much on Sky's three main channels. My loss probably.

I'm A Celeb was so much better tonight than the usual first shows. But I think it might just slip under 10m.

I've never really watched Hill as I'm not a fan of surreal humour. I did watch Stars in their Eyes and I thought he destroyed what would have been a success.

However, that format actually sounds promising. It's definitely longer than 30 minutes I'm afraid. It does have a Room 101 feel to it.

I'm cutting my XF prediction to 6m due to IAC destroying their VOSDAL. It's a pity as it was a FUN show what with the kids pretending to be judges and Ant and Dec cameo. The show has its humour back and that bodes well for 2017.

XF 6m
Magician 2.9
IAC 9.7m

SCD 9.9m
PE2 10.1m
Strangers 4.7m

A visual feast for the eyes as we look at our Planet and the
animals that inhabit it. This sort of TV doesn't deserve 10 million
viewers it deserves 20 million + ! Long Live Sir David Attenborough.

I wonder why Comedy Roadshow stopped. I enjoyed it. Then again, I enjoyed Live at the Apollo/Appalling (copyright: Steve Williams) when Jack Dee was doing it. Couldn't stick it if you paid me now.
One reason why McIntyre doesn't do either Comedy Roadshow or his chat show anymore is because he signed an exclusive deal with Hungry Bear Productions to make all his shows. Those two series were Open Mike Productions so he can no longer do them. Of course, that doesn't mean he can't do very similar shows.

Be interesting to see how that does. I expect I'll watch it. Haven't watched Tea Time. I tend not to notice much on Sky's three main channels. My loss probably.
Well, it's certainly the best thing that's ever been on Sky 1.

They must be peaks.

I can't see a drop off, of only 300k between SCD and PEII

Bit of a leap if so but... possible! Maybe more viewers were around for I'm A Celebrity?

If those are averages, I'm dreading The X Factor's figure - could be below 6m.

Superb for IAC considering the lowering lead in. Up 860k on last year.

3 10m+ shows on Sunday. Well I would say having three such big shows all helped each other.

I notice though Richard Osman only reoprts ITV ratings when they are bad.

Three shows over 10m with all three closer to 11m than 10! Absolutely brilliant for all three.

I guess ITV didn't crash and burn as much as it could have done considering the opposition between 7pm and 9pm. I wonder how My Mother and Other Strangers did?
