Copied onto a new page:

BBC 1
Countryfile - 6.68m (31.7%)
Strictly Come Dancing - 10.90m (45.0%)
Planet Earth II - 10.63m (40.2%)
My Mother and Other Strangers - 5.25m (20.8%)

ITV (inc. +1)
Off Their Rockers - 2.64m (12.7%)
The Next Great Magician - 3.25m (13.9%)
The X Factor - 6.38m (24.1%)
* peak - 7.44m (27.1%)
I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! - 10.66m (44.3%)
* peak - 11.71m (46.0%)

This is why I follow ratings in hope of having ratings like this. It's not often we get 3 10m figures in one night.

Here we have THREE shows over 10m...all with completely different audiences.

IAC has the younger viewers, PEII has the viewers who don't usually watch TV and SCD the older viewers.

It shows the joys of putting together a schedule though - BBC One held 10.8m over an hour and three quarters with two different shows.

BBC One have basically dominated what should be ITV's strongest quarter. The latter seriously needs to refocus in 2017.

Unfortunate for Humans. I suspect this there will be no series 3. Should hve kept it back for next year.

I watched series 1, but I've lost interest with series 2

What is brilliant is each channel can compete against these behemoths - ITV claimed over 6m against Planet Earth whilst BBC One got over 5m opposite I'm A Celebrity. It kills the argument that having 10m+ shows on kills the audience for other programmes.

Massive ratings last night I'm so pleased. Strictly nearly at 11m!! Planet Earth at 10.6m and IAC too!! I think they will all consolidate to over 12m! X Factor doing well too!

Yes. Its only the earlier slots ITV need to work on now, because against CF they look minascule

Starting 10 minutes into it doesn't help but they're not strong or distinct enough programmes to hold up.

Amazing for IAC.

Honestly, X Factor is doing really well against Planet Earth.

Apart from the big hitters - I thought that was brilliant for My Mother and Other Strangers too - thought it might struggle against IAC, but not.

Sunday night TV is alive and well!

Brand new BBC One Saturday night entertainment show Let It Shine has today revealed further details about the format of the show.

The second stage of the competition will see the talented contestants perform together in five group numbers for the very first time. In all-singing and all-dancing extravaganzas, they will seek to prove their worth as they collaborate with some of the UK’s most-loved artists with spectacular staging and one big song after another. The guest performers revealed today are Busted, Beverley Knight, Melanie C, Olly Murs and Kaiser Chiefs.

Filming this week in MediaCity UK, Salford, five groups of eight individuals will perform with one of the guest artists. The judges will then select five individuals from each group to go through to the live finals which will film at BBC StudioWorks in Elstree next year.
