Humans has really lost it's audience. I will be shocked if a third season happens.

Sunday's have been massive ratings winners for a few years now. Ever since Strictly Moved its results to Sundays then X Factor followed. Amazing night for both BBC1 and ITV1 last night.

What spectacular ratings last night. Amazing for Strictly, PE2 rose as expected and IAC smashed it!

I love love love it when ratings start with 10s!

What a night of big ratings! Love it!

I knew I'm A Celebrity would launch well. It could follow an Open University programme on pure mathematics and still get a massive audience. Strictly with its best Sunday results rating and matching last year's which faced a ratings bomb in Jekyll and Hyde. And Planet Earth 2! Wowzers! That's the power of word of mouth right there.

From that breadown I'm A Celeb looks to have peaked at 11.93m after 10pm.

3m more people watched GBBO than PE2? I'm not sure what to make of that.

SCD had the same share as Saturday but with 1m more viewers. Assuming that's not down to VOSDAL, it shows how Sunday is the TV night in the UK. Is this helped by people knowing there's no soaps? No idea, maybe not.

Fabulous ratings all around. Everything did better than I expected. Magician getting over 3m against SCD is impressive and I'm surprised XF not only held up but peaked close to 7.5m. IAC effect? It bodes well for Saturday.

IAC came back with a stunning rating for a show finishing nearly at 11pm. Ant and Dec appearing on XF made so much sense and illustrates how BGT should be split in to two 45 minute episodes.

Strangers also did better than I expected. Poldark and Victoria really hurt each other.

Brilliant ratings for IAC, SCD and Planet Earth! It's easy to forget how massive IAC really is.

I wonder how well IAC will hold tonight. It was a better opening ep last night than previous, so should be over 9m, with any luck closer to 10m.

On a differentnote, I'm pleased Great Canel Journey's held up, its a fantastic series.

It has already been 18 months between series, they should have put it on during the summer.

Notice how PE2 stays steady, few peaks, just consistently in the high 10s. Never in the 11s.
SCD is more erratic as you'd expect.

IAC has lots of 11s and between 9-10pm averaged well over 11m!!
XF didn't get near 8m, my mistake. No surprise its peak was for the elimination.

Strangers looks like a 5m show with that breakdown. That's still good.
Magician is a 3.5m show. Worthy of a second season against normal opposition.

Countryfile does what it does. Every show had a good night.

The reason for the delay for series 2 was because production didn't actually begin until May. They had to wait for a few cast members to be free from their other projects. Colin Morgan was doing The Fall and Gemma Khan was doing a film and a stage play.

The BBCs black season looks like its been dumped deliberately in the biggest weeks of ratings in the year. The numbers are very poor even the drama on BBC1 last week, and last nights getting 3.4% is dreadful.

Blimey some near 12m numbers for IAC during 1st hour and 10mins. Very good.

It's one of the few shows I actually look forward to watching every year.

I was referring to Jay Lee 's post yesterday who underpredicted this drama and said it would flop with 2-3m, and I said there is absolurely no chance BBC1 will be under 5m at 9pm.

So this post today was being sarcastic based on the above. I think its a good rating.

Am I right in understanding that Strictly was watched by nearly 11 million, 45% of viewing firgures?
That makes total viewing figures of around 24 million of a dark rainy Sunday night. Out of a population of 60 million.
Is television only watched by a third of the nation in an evening? What the hell is the other 60% doing?

I thought the non-HD rating for the football was 4.5m? If so, people like to watch sport in HD. 7m is a muchore respectable number.

BBC Regional News beat Emmerdale in their semi-clash. Cylon is right, the channels could stand to be more aggressive against the soaps.

Watching Netflix, Prime and more are probably watching sky than are accounted for. Others are in bed, out, on computers and eating.

Your scepticism is fair. Especially when you think the population is near 64m.

Exactly, and don't forget pre-recorded stuff too. I watched plenty of TV last night, but nothing live - despite their very impressive ratings, not one of the shows on the main channels appealed to me at all. Clearly, I was not alone in that.
