Here's how Tipping Point did before Cash Trapped:

Including +1

Mon: 2.03m
Tue: 1.85m
Wed: 1.80m
Thu: 1.85m
Fri: 1.77m

Look how close Thursday's episode was to Cash Trapped on the same day. The Quiz show in the 5pm slot needs to be doing better ideally. But yes, for the Summer months, the numbers aren't too bad all things considered.
I find it amazing how well Tipping Point does on ITV. It never fails to pull in great shares in the 4pm slot. Imean that Monday rating must be a share well over 25%.

It is good that ITV has a stable block now in the afternoons, considering how it used to be years ago.

Are ITV doing another musical this year?

The live thing was pointless (see what I did there! - but it was).

But the musical itself was jolly good and like the pantomimes they used to do will be screened for years so paying for itself that way.

I heard rumours of Grease or something like that, but nothing firm. But they must know if it is being done by now.
The live thing was surreal. Brilliantly done by all concerned, but with no audience and filmic style it felt pre recorded rather than a live event. Quite a strange experience imo.

Stonking rating for BBC2 at 10.00-surely the highest of this year for the channel. The mad but totally addictive Omnium ? made sure people found their remotes this time.

Caught up also with BBC4's hen party thing-apparently Dan Walker has been invited to the wedding now . (he has got to ask his wife first) Great bit of live tv-getting a crowd of people to chant BBC over and over would usually involve some kind of payment

Well deserved poor rating for that Big Quiz thing on c4,one and a half hours of tedium and badly done fake laughter track, and they have made a series of this, maybe half a hour would have been tolerable but only just.

Wow fantastic especially for the BBC2 coverage!
Channel 5 didn't hold up badly either. Bad for the Quiz show on C4 though.

That's a massive rating for BBC 2, and a really good rating for BBC 1. Didn't think it would do that well.

BBC1 and 2 must be thanking the sporting gods that there are medal chances every night in prime time that last for ages.

Those Olympic ratings are absolutely extraordinary, especially when you consider that there was no action involving British riders until the second half of the 8:30pm - 10:00pm programme. Presumably it's going to be insanely high again tonight as GB have a chance of three gold medals.

Surely Top Gear or even the GBBO on TWO didn't hit the dizzy-heights of a 35% share?

Love it when we get these outlier ratings especially when you consider TWO's YTD share is just 6%.

Slightly quieter night for medal chances beyond Cav but it didn't affect the ratings- the momentum is very much with the Olympics now. There's a real feel good vibe about things with us sitting so high in the table, and it's proving to be uplifting viewing night after night.

Some extremely low ratings being recorded elsewhere, notably on C4. I'm still confused as to why they continue to tweet about Naked Attraction every week, or indeed why they are tweeting about a rating of less than 1m regardless of the programme. I think CBB has done really well to hold up as well as it has done over the past week when we've seen some major crashes elsewhere (albeit mostly male-skewing stuff like Robot Wars).

Big Fat Quiz was the ultimate in lazy scheduling, it's supposed to be an annual event, not a regular series.

I wouldn't expect any more from Channel 4 though, if it does well it'll come back for a new series every 3 months,

Two more EE/Emmerdale clashes next week
Does it really need pointing out every week? Although from your posting history, I know you are a fan of identical discussions over and over again.

I think it does, especially when you often get at least one person on this thread commenting on how low a Tuesday or Thursday EastEnders' overnight figure looks, conveniently forgetting the fact that it clashed with Emmerdale.

Perhaps if you're getting sick and tired of it being pointed out, itv could help and stop the clashes?

Stonking ratings for the cycling. Viewers certainly managed to locate the 2 button on their remote last night, despite Claire Balding being cut off before she'd finished her link. That's got to be BBC2's highest rating of the year and well ahead of the news on BBC1 at the same time.

Ugh, I hate that Channel 4 has commisioned a 3 part series of Big Fat Quiz in the middle of the year. Very happy to see it rated low. Cats Does Countdown is already airing a new series on Friday at the moment.
