It is indeed but it is post cancellation announcement. Really no great surprise that people having heard that it has no future would find other things to watch.

Thanks for that. It got a good promotion on This Morning earlier in the day.

Though not sure how some members of general discussion forum here would have taken to a seven year old saying she was going to have a womb transplant.

It is an interesting concept and well done but the number of 'I am going to lose 6 stone in the next year/30 seconds' tends to be the problem. At least one an episode and it is hard to make them all feel different.

There are some very good other stories that balance these out each week but I get the feeling that this format will be harder to sustain over multiple series than you might expect.

Corden isn't getting great ratings which might not matter to CBS at 1am but I'm pretty sure it'll matter to itv when The Nightly Show is getting ~2m against the News' 4.5m. The media will make a big deal of it.

The demographics will be great but that won't be good copy.

Re This Time Next Year.... I thought I read something saying that they were ready to start taking applications for series 2..?
The show was filmed over three days in 2015 and I assume three days in 2016. It must be very cheap to make and it's scoring similar consolidated ratings to Watchdog and Holby. It's also already been exported to Australia, Denmark and Germany. It'll run for a while.

They will need different type of stories though. There's only so many weight loss and find a partner story you can do.

Thanks gslam for the ratings. Interesting that GMB beat BNews for mums. A gold example of how an interrogation of the data can often change the initial findings.

Well I wouldn't say it doesn't matter. There have been several intimations of a move to an earlier slot to pick up some extra viewers. It certainly helps that the show's showing in 6 other countries including Canada, Australia and Germany (who knew?) and is part of the RTL CBS package going out all across Asia. I doubt that an ITV show will make it far outside the UK borders.

I've never watched I'm A Celeb before this series which I'm really enjoying, but people have hyped up it's ratings on this thread before the thing began much more than the ratings are showing

I saw it compared to Bake Off and Strictly in ratings but Bake Off was getting +10 every night and IAC has fallen since it's launch.

If this is normal I don't think it can be classed as in the top band for ratings, more the second.

Corden has Hollywood guests and they travel well. Most of our guests won't mean anything to foreigners. Heck they often mean nothing to us.

I wonder how Corden is doing on sky.

What's the bet that this new ITV late show will feature;

This year's XF winner
Little Mix
Rylan
This year's IAC winner
Corrie Actors

Quite how you can compare a nightly stripped show to a weekly format is beyond me.

IAC is up year on year and in astonishingly good nick.

Put GBBO or SCD on every day and I'd expect their ratings would fall too. It won't consolidate as well because you really don't have the time or need.

No need to be so rude. I was simply asking a question as a first time viewer of the show.

Would've been nice if they'd given the French and Australian Slams some respect when they had them, building them up instead of hiding them out of sight on the red button like an ugly stepchild. They never seemed to understand that having three out of the four Grand Slams was something to be cherished and nurtured.

I'm sure it does consolidate surprisingly high for a programme that runs daily.

The trouble with IAC being on virtually every night for 3 weeks is that ITV don't have very many programmes to trail. The result is I've seen the trailer for In Plain Sight about 20,000 bleeding times. I've just seen the first trailer that includes the start date - Wednesday 7th December. I was going to say it might get a lead-in from IAC... Coming Out but This Time Next Year will still be on. Coming Out is going to need a new slot this year. It'll probably be Monday at 9pm but maybe they should give it a try on Tuesday. Stick it on at 8pm. See if it can get the better of Holby City/River City.

Yeah as the others have said. IAC on Sunday launched with 10.7m which will consolidate to 12m+, higher than any episode of SCD so far. The final will also likely top 10m in overnights, as well as some of the weekends in between.

Its pretty difficult to hold onto a large audience every day, 7 days a week for 3 weeks withot dropping viewers on the way. I imagine if SCD or GBBO had to do this, they'd be doing the same.

You will probably find many viewers dip in and out of it. That's why we see spikes at the weekend.

BIB - that'll be down to budget and how much they can afford to pay for the rights and what they can get for that.

It's like the ATP World Tour Finals that is on this week. The BBC have just paid to show the afternoon singles matches in the round robin stage which means they couldn't show Andy Murray's first match in the tournament as it was on at 8pm.

Coming Out is on the Wednesday at 8pm leading into In Plain Sight at 9pm, while This Time Next Year takes a break. Shoukd give the new drama a 6m+ lead in.

I agree with you. ITV is trailing very little in terms of variety. So far I've seen In Plain Sight, The Mummy Diaries and The X Factor awlul trails.

If I was at ITV, I would be looking to start promotional trails for Christmas/New Year trails when they have a big available audience to see the trailers. By the time Christmas arrives, everyone turns to BBC1 and very few actually see ITV trailing New Year pogrammes.

The Final of IAC and TXF should be the dates when Christmas trails begin, and New Year teasers.

”

Isn't TTNY off the previous Wednesday to make room for a 7.00 Emmerdale 7.30 Corrie 8.30 Ninety-Minute-IAC line-up.

Davina: "My next guest is Kevin Lygo from London."
Kevin: This time next year, Davina, we might get round to showing the rest of your series."

8 PM Saturdays. From the 7th.

I think Let it shine will be on BBC1 at 7 PM, and a chance of a small overlap, maybe 15 minutes.

Subject to FA Cup commitments.

TVUK should get good ratings in the 8 pm slot, maybe 8/9 million at the start. As long as they do not, X Factor it, it should hold up.

They'll have some meeting discussing when the screen it and then they'll come to a decision and send a press release.

Saturdays at 8pm in the XF slot. Straight after Ninja. Let it Shine will probably follow Pointless at 7pm. Both channels have some rugby union to accommodate but that comes later and is normally finished by 7.

I do think they should have a preview show on NYE to help hype it. They'll probably ask the Chase to go at 6pm in the hope it can compete with Pointless.

The BBC have the advantage here if they luck out and get a juicy FA Cup match involving ManU on the first Saturday. Any so-so cup tie could benefit itv.
