Thanks Mike.

When Britain does well in sport people want to see it. They made the right decision to have Olympics uninterrupted on BBC1 last night. They should have rested EastEnders for two weeks as it's getting hit by The Olympics too.

Does this make it less or more likely that Cold Feet will return in its usual Sunday slot?

Another stellar day at the Olympics for both the team and the BBC

8.5m average for that length of broadcast is amazing and that peak probably wont be beaten over the next 5 days of action

Obviously due to BBC1 showing one programme all night the top 20 goes further down into stuff that doesn't usually get in

Would there be enough time after Victoria ends and before I'm A Celebrity begins to fit in another 6/8 part dramas? I think that's doubtful. Monday nights possibly?

Cold Feet won't get Sundays now as Victoria is an 8 week run and Cold Feet is due to start in September. It won't be Wednesdays either as DCI Banks is there. Monday would be my guess.

Superb cycling ratings. 11m at 10pm and again at 11pm, with BBC1 over 10m for two hours from 9.30pm.

I wasn't criticising the BBC last night btw, just commenting on how unfortunate that after shunting the cycling to BBC2 for 30 mins at 10pm last night, they could actually have accommodated the Ten at ten on 1 given there was actually no cycling medal race IIRC 10-10.30. Granted we got Trott's medal ceremony in that half hour.

Sunday is Cold Feet's natural home. Thought it would return there rather than trying to replicate Downton's success with another period drama. Should do well on Mondays though with no competition.

Not good for Borderline! First Dates did awfully it seems, most things did. Was the 1.45m that Mike posted for CBB excluding +1? If so, that's very good how it managed to hold up where everything else collapsed against the Olympics.

Sorry If I'm wrong, but wasn't Endeavour getting 4m a few weeks back? Or was that something else? The fact it is now barely getting 200k above Channel 5 is alarming. It's been dented hugely by the Olympics.

Edit- I don't know if I'm thinking about Brief Encounters.
