Not seen the full schedule (is AYBS 30 mins? What's it paired with?)
Dumping AYBS on the sunday of the bank holiday weekend doesn't suggest great faith.... What's going to happen? http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/pro...u-being-served |

Sunday is Cold Feet's natural home. Thought it would return there rather than trying to replicate Downton's success with another period drama. Should do well on Mondays though with no competition.

Not good for Borderline! First Dates did awfully it seems, most things did.

Cold Feet has been on Mondays before, mind, the fourth series in 2001 was shown twice a week, on Sundays and Mondays, which they used to do with a lot of their dramas in those days. And going way back, the entire first series was shown on Mondays in Scotland because STV were showing something else on the Sunday. Dunno what, but it was a rare Scottish opt-out at 9pm.

And next week First Dates moves to Wednesday, after two episodes on a Tuesday. In many ways it's amazing this show does so well given it's scheduled so ineptly.
Why First Dates doesn't get a fixed day or moved permanently to 9pm is beyond me.Steve what are your thoughts on Victoria and Are You Being Served going head to head? |

It would be nice to see the Autumn schedules launch well - with Victoria, Cold Feet and Poldark all doing well, and Bake-Off. |

A 15 min peak of 10.89m last night for the Cycling (10.45-11). Average (7-11.25) 8.58m/44.2%.
10.45-11pm: BBC1 - 10.89m BBC2 - 233k (Coast fillers) ITV - 445K C4 - 540K BBC4 - 580K https://twitter.com/chrisckmedia/sta...32679384354816 Looks like a quieter evening tonight from a British perspective. The hockey semi-final at 9pm probably the best bet for live coverage on BBC1 and if we win tonight the gold medal match would be on Friday at 9pm UK time. Tom Daley's 10m platform final is scheduled for 8:30pm - 9:55pm on Saturday, which will surely offer a great final primetime session. |

Radio Times.
More people watched Laura Trott and Jason Kenny's Olympic cycling wins than the Strictly and X Factor finals http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2016-...-factor-finals Primetime Saturday night crowd-pleasers were outgunned by late-night cycling on Tuesday as more people stayed up to watch Laura Trott and Jason Kenny's Olympic gold medal triumphs than had tuned in for last year's Strictly Come Dancing or X Factor finals. Between 10:45pm and 11pm an average of 10.88 million viewers watched BBC1’s nail-biting coverage of Jason Kenny's Keirin final – peaking at 11.1m at the moment he crossed the finish line in front, equalling Sir Chris Hoy's Team GB record of six golds. Earlier in the evening, between 9pm and 9:45pm, just shy of 10 million watched Kenny's fiance Laura Trott’s bid for the Omnium title, with a peak of 10.3m glued to the screen as she became Britain's most successful female Olympian with her fourth gold. Last autumn, by comparison, the grand final of BBC1's Saturday night behemoth Strictly averaged 10.2m viewers, while the conclusion to ITV's own talent show The X Factor managed just 5.7m. Overall, BBC1's Olympics coverage averaged 8.58m between 7pm and 11:25pm, a share of more than 44% of the total available viewing. The over-running of the cycling due to two near-disqualifications saw a long delay for those waiting for BBC1’s 10pm News bulletin, which finally started at 11:25pm. However, it was still watched by a healthy average of 3.37m viewers, a share of 30%. |

Well figures do get changed to reflect government policy at the time.It is only years later it came out that figures were rigged in the pop charts..I think it was in 1977 during the Queens jubilee when the pop charts were rigged to stop the Sex Pistols with God Save the Queen being number 1 in jubilee week in favour of a song by Rod Stewart has to not cause offence. We only have to ask who was behind that and it does not take a genius to work out who.
So who knows it usually takes years for a leak to become know. And we are talking BARB, not pop singles charts |

Stunning ratings once again for the cycling. On top of that, there could well have been another million or so watching the un-interrupted live stream too.
Wonder how BARB are coping with Sky Q and whether any homes have been adapted? With so much sport on TV we've often got two or three events on at the same time on the TV and tablets. With Sky Q, the content on external devices is coming live and in HD from the main box and not via the internet which BARB report on their TV Player Report. |

And we are talking BARB, not pop singles charts The Olympics has been a success on the field and more importantly has to be seen has a success by the UK public which according to viewing figures and the newspapers it has.So job well done and we are all happy on the way to the Food Bank. |

Putting the sitcoms on at 9 - 10 pm seems a waste but then might be a 'manage expectations' scenario. But they will miss out somewhat out of their traditional slot.
Ironically something like the Pointless Sitcom special (which basically could be any other celeb episode of Pointless) will get the earlier slot on a Saturday that most of these other shows might have got in their heyday. So the least special of the specials gets the slot most of the shows once would have had, |
