Why would the producers stage an invasion and then not have the cameras pick it up? It wasn't staged.
Aside from this conspiracy rubbish, I thought XF had a strong night. Much better when there aren't restrictive dated themes. |

I actually think for once, ITV dose not look bad this year.
I would just one or two things , I do thing ED to Early. BBC 1 looks really messy. Doctor Who too early EE 9:30 Start, I'm be drunk by then. For BBC 1 I would like see like this 15:15 - Frozen 16 50 - BBC News 17:00 - Bake Off 18:00 - Call The Midwife 18:45- Strictly Come Dancing 20:00 - EastEnders 20:30 - Doctor Who 21:30 - EastEnders 22:00 News 22:15 Mr Brown boys Or 17:00 - Strictly Come Dancing 18;15 Eastenders 18:45: Bake Off 19:45 Call the Midwife 20:30 Doctor Who 21:30 Eastenders 22:00 News I change that so many times lol I actually think ITV are wasting The Lion King in that slot and should actually look to use Frozen as a lead-in for it. Schedule an alternative to attempt to grab the non-family audience in the afternoon and generally reduce the reliance on soaps. Given the programmes that they have, I'd like to see them go with something like: 3.10 Emmerdale 3.40 The Chase Christmas Special 4.40 News 4.45 The Lion King 6.35 Blankety Blank 7.35 Coronation Street 8.05 Birds of a Feather 9.05 Maigret |

Rzt posted this breakdown from yesterday on the other place, thought I should bring it across as no one else has.
It's hard to work out the figures because it's not in smaller intervals, but using the figure at the start of each programme that makes it: BBC1: The One Show: 3.4m Still Open All Hours (r): 2.7m EastEnders: 5.7m Citizen Khan: 2.5m HIGNFY: 3.9m Walliams & Friend: 2.8m ITV: Emmerdale: 5.7m Corrie 1: 6.3m Countrywise: 2.7m Corrie 2: 6.1m Obviously that's not accurate but it's in the right area. IAC may be helping various itv hours besides the one after 9pm. *Thanks Sheldon. |

As expected no eviction on IAC tonight, viewers are instead reverting to pick a celeb to do a bush tucker trial. I think it's the first time they've started the vote offs then gone back to th BTT votes before going back to the vote offs.
Makes sense as its a shorter show tonight, although they will need a double eviction at some point next week to enable 4 to be in the show next Saturday |

Well I thought XF and SCD had strong nights overall, I really enjoyed XF tonight though, maybe its my love for Saara shining through but the production this year seems good, even if they are inexplicably trying to hype Honey G

I'm also pretty sure they've done an eviction before on a Saturday before even though it was an hour. |

When did 5.8m for both Who and Midwife get to be 'dreadful' on a day that Downton got 6.9 and Strictly 6.5? There's no evidence at all that Midwife would do better on Boxing Day. The BBC News was the only programme to top 6 million all day last year so it hardly looks like there's a huge audience all fresh and agog to be plumbed there.
My schedule still has Dr Who and Strictly on Christmas Day. And there's no evidence that Midwife would do better on Boxing Day because it's never been on on Boxing Day, but what's wrong with being on on Boxing Day anyway? Seek out the BBC1 Christmas schedules from the 1970s (they're on the internet on various sites) and you will discover that the only one of the BBC's smash-hit sitcoms to get Christmas Day slots for its festive specials is Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. All the rest (Porridge, Dad's Army, The Likely Lads, The Good Life) were scheduled on either Christmas Eve or Boxing Day. |

Im not sure such a thing exists. Still Game did ok but it has colossal support in Scotland, otherwise it would be as lost as Walliams and any other new comedy you want to fling at Friday at 9.30. Its just not a good slot for a genre that already, the public just don't take seriously any more outside of rehashed relics and Mrs Brown.

Still Game didn't have to face the mighty I'm A Celebrity. Let's see how David and his friend, Sheridan, fare when they face Michael and his friend, Alfie, a week on Friday.

Well be sure to thank him with some flowers at his unexpectedly early funeral! Not that he actually does, of course. Apparently you've forgotten that the current season was on a break from 13th June to the 26th August a period of ... oh, hello, 10 weeks! Now where have I heard that number before?
Fact is, The Chase record 190 episodes per series, in the same time period Pointless do two series of 55, so that's 80 more for The Chase. Disgraceful for the BBC's prime teatime quiz. |

Well, is it not possible that you've already seen some of those episodes? And last time I looked there were 52 weeks in a year so that still leaves 10 weeks uncovered. Even at 3 episodes a day that's the best part of four months doing nothing else. Do they not deserve a rest?
So clearly these 210 episodes were made up of 3 or 4 series of 50 or so episodes, so why can't they show one of these series in full before they switch back to repeats. No, I'll answer that. This is the BBC conning people into watching repeats. See their daytime programmes. Bargain Hunt, Homes Under The Hammer, even Bill Turnbull's daytime quiz Think tank and see that they show 2 or 3 new episodes a week, mixed with 2 or 3 repeats. And the only reason they don't do the same with Pointless is because the serial element of the programme (the rising jackpot, "everyone has two chances to reach the Pointless final") makes such scheduling impossible. The BBC keep Pointless in that slot all year because viewers get into a viewing habit and it wins viewer loyalty. But ITV have caught onto that with The Chase. And because The Chase sticks with new episodes for much longer, it has now started to move ahead and further ahead of Pointless in the ratings. Here's hoping the BBC bosses pick up on that. They might become a bit more picky about fobbing us off with repeats. |

I'm not saying there shouldn't be any Pointless repeats, but the last time they moved to new episodes the BBC billed it as a new series, 1 of 55 and the episodes were numbered x of 55 on the Sky EPG. But after just 4 weeks they switched back to repeats.

Conversely, most of ITV's daytime schedule is new. |

Well yes, The Mirror said it was genuine. As did the police. Quote:
But the Mirror can exclusively reveal the stage invaders were NOT production staff but made to look like it by the crasher's plot to disrupt Honey G's performance.
An X Factor spokesman said: “There was a stage invasion by four men, with one further person in support. All five had been in the audience. They were spoken to by police and security and have now been removed from the studio.” |

As I've always said, I'm always up for intelligent debate. I've done lots of it. But this one grates me, why is he pushing false negative posts if he doesn't even watch the show?
Anyway, I don't believe that it was staged. The security must be very lacking because this seems to happen every year. It's not good enough. |
