I shall consider "Lady in the Van" as my top viewing for Christmas Eve. BBC2 at 9pm.

ITV have made Christmas Eve too full, and Boxing Day too weak IMO.

A dark day in TV history! If the new late time heralds its removal altogether next year then I shall not be sorry!

I can let ITV pff YBF considering they have scheduled The Lion King at 3.10pm.

Christmas Eve looks to be Five's strongest day, similar to ITV:

17:15 FILM: Scrooge [1951] (C5's Traditional Xmas Eve Film)
19:00 Andre Rieu: Christmas in London (New)
20:00 The Yorkshire Vet at Christmas (New)
21:00 Eamonn and Ruth: Million Pound Christmas (New)

I remember one year in the late 80s Christmas fell on a Sunday and they still put the Omnibus on for an hour early afternoon on Christmas Day.

Looks like there is at least one programme each day over Christmas that I will be watching. Christmas Day gets Doctor Who, MBB and Bake Off though which leaves enough time to eat, drink and drink a bit more.

A bit of a nightmare to have Call the Midwife running half an hour into Maigret.

Then again, I suspect Maigret will retain most of the Corrie audience as people won't really want to join CTM halfway through. Which could in turn hurt EastEnders.

I'm guessing this is a mistake in the listings? Don't BT hold the rights?

This is bloody awful scheduling :

Thursday 29 December ITV

17:50 Film: The Amazing Spider-Man 2
20:30 Emmerdale
21:00 Film: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
23:00 ITV News
23:20 Film: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

film ends at 00:20.

Why shoehorn Spider-Man in and push everything else so late. And what a late end for a Potter movie.

Oh my word! Potter finishing that late is all kinds of wrong.

Rip that one up and start again ITV, it can't be too late.

Just what are ITV thinking ? They are giving a film repeat the plum slot over a TV Premiere

Potter after midnight is just wrong on so many levels.
