RT should follow suit - For the price they charge it should be bloody hardback!

Last night's @bbcstrictly #MusicalsWeek had a peak audience of 11.2m viewers. Average was 10.4m & 49.1% share. Most watched show on TV! 📺💃🏻

Exactly the same as last year.

They've made an effort on Christmas Eve but I'm not impressed with their Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

Christmas Day is the same-old-same-old - Emmerdale, Corrie, O'Grady's Dogs and YBF! They've been forced to draught in Maigret as something new because they've lost Downtown. It looked like they were going to shake it about a bit when the provisonals showed Blankety Blank in there but they bottled that.

Boxing Day we've got the same old 2-hour soap block we get EVERY Monday with a day-old repeat of YBF filling the factual slot. (Two opportunities for viewers to not watch it!) Yes, they've got a strong film premiere at 9 o'clock but there really isn't a lot of effort in that schedule.

I think ITVs plan was probably always to fill up christmas eve. I think they probably tricked the BBC a little by putting spiderman there till the last minute.

Fabulous for Strictly and McIntyre is certainly a hit.

Along with Casualty, it looks a solid night of good numbers for BBC One

Casualty always underperforming a bit these days IMHO. Although it did partly clash with IAC last night.

McIntyre doing very well indeed.

Great ratings for Strictly and McIntyre. Wonder where they will put mcIntyre next spring.

Cheers. Both about where I'd expect to see them, nothing new to add based on those figures really.

McIntyre appears to be denting XF slightly. I've not seen last night's breakdown but in the past 2 weeks XF has gained around 500k when McIntyre has gone off air. They don't clash for the whole of XF so the dent to the show's average will only be a few hundred thousand, but still.

Have always thought the lottery shows were a millstone around the BBC's necks and now it's going on line hopefully they'll ditch Nick Knowles and co and start to come up with some real alternatives like McIntyre which is a good entertainment show. ITV are on their backsides - has there ever been a lower X Factor semi final or penultimate episode of I'm a Celebrity? Rather than buy tired old BBC shows like The Voice the desperately need a new hit (Ant and Dec won't be around forever .. even they've looked a bit tired on this series of I'm a Celeb).

X factor beaten by McIntyre and IAC looks a bit low but it is on later on a Saturday

MMBS doing very well for a new show in the winter slot.

Whilst not the full figure XF ( 5.75) is still terrible and dragged down IAC . IAC should be on first.

Some of the lottery quizzes still perform quite well but others do flop badly but i think they will stay. But your Im a celeb comment is a load of rubbish this series has done really well and has been up year on year. They do need new formats but Im a celeb doesnt need replaced at the moment.

BBC1 have already said they're going to schedule more drama on Saturday nights and less LE.Who on earth came up with the idea of a golden handcuffs deal for Knowles ?

IAC has always been a close to/post watershed programme. Of course (thankfully) the days of it being non-stop, unbleeped, effing and blinding are long gone (same with The Apprentice).

Would it still be dark in Australia if they had it much earlier in the evening here?

I wouldn't put Big Show anywhere next Spring tbh. I would give it an 8 week or maybe even 10 week series in quarter 4 next year after SCD and not dilute it with another series earlier(which could very easily become sub 5 million in quarter 2). XF doesn't look like its going to spring forward much from where it is now and the SCD/BS combo looks good at the moment.

Almost 40% share for IAC and 7 million plus after 3 weeks solid is amazing imo.

Its very difficult to spin XF figure given its semi final performance week. Its not building at all, but at least its retaining its audience at that level. I don't know what options are still left for Simon Cowell to tweak-I just cant see the guy being happy with those kind of figures, but Im not sure what he can do.

Yesterday should have been:

17:20 - ITV News
17:35 - Meet the Parents
18:30 - Tipping Point
19:30 - The X Factor
21:00 - I'm a Celebrity
22:30 - ITV News

Yet again ITV seem reluctant to move The X Factor out of the 20:00 slot.
