What was that Mary Berry thing you posted a link to? The link didn't work.

Nice wee tribute to Fountain studios by Dermot thanking the team and staff for everything over the years. Tonights X factor is the last show to come from there and Lady Gaga last celeb performance.

Sad night for us tv geeks

I wonder where X factor and BGT will be broadcast from next year.

Also what studio is being used for The Voice UK live shows.

BBC Oneness and an ident that looks more like something you'd see on ITV/ITV2. Not the BBC presentation department's finest hour. At one time they used really classy presentation

Light entertainment looks great from big studios. Fountain will be missed.

X Factor and BGT are at Limehouse Studios next year I believe. The Voice is coming from Elstree again, I think Let It Shine might be as well.

It was awful, total half arsed attempt. They used to put so much effort in their idents, they certainly don't now. Bring back the sprout from last year, that was so much better.

Cowell took a moment to say a tribute as well. He seemed pretty upset it was going. I totally agree everything from big studios looks great.

How big is limehouse?

Take it they wont be live the same time so they can both be at Elstree.

'BBC one' should be in a circle too.

They used Adi and Si from Academy Films. They were responsible for several TV Commercials including Durex!

Why aren't you watching ITV?

The one at 9pm was a bald man in a party hat leaning back very slightly, and that was the whole ident. I think they were a Friday afternoon job.

I'm a Celeb helpfully didn't start until 9:02 so I was able to see the ident and switch back.

I'm envisaging Jessica Hynes and her team from Twenty Twelve and W1A. A BBC journalist lost his job to pay for this.

You are suppose to watch the commercials. How do you think ITV pay for these programmes? Ant & Dec don't work for them out of the goodness of their hearts.

The Voice is coming from Salford, they are already recording. Strictly should be going back to the refurbished TC1 at TV Centre next year.

Are you sure? I don't think the refurbished studios at TV Centre will be anything like the size Strictly need.

I know on the BBC they used Salford before the live shows but I didnt expect ITV to do the live shows from there. How many guests will go to Salford unless ITV are paying for accomodation

In relation to Strictly. How does George Lucas compare to TC1 in terms of size? As the Studio design was changed when it went to Elstree. Would the new layout fit in TC1?

Strictly came from there prior to Television Centre's closure and the new set was in place before the show moved.

The George Lucas stage at Elstree is much bigger than TC1. Hearing stories that the production team would prefer to stay at Elstree. Wider dance floor, more cameras, slightly bigger set. It just looks better there.
