The George Lucas stage at Elstree is much bigger than TC1. Hearing stories that the production team would prefer to stay at Elstree. Wider dance floor, more cameras, slightly bigger set. It just looks better there.

Awesome bunch of figures Ray. BBC1 didn't look like it was doing that well on the Boxing Day (that's similar to what it gets now really) but those 27th December figures are fantastic in primetime. Big difference inbetween those 24 hours.
Interesting this was the first year of C4 right? Thought ratings round be in the 4m range tbh not similar to nowadays. Do you have the launch week of C5 figures? And do you have figures for C4 when it got its highest ever rating with Woman with Substance and how other channels fared? |

The Voice is coming from Salford, they are already recording. Strictly should be going back to the refurbished TC1 at TV Centre next year.
The Voice and X factor live rounds will be coming from here next year. Usually used for Concert rehearsals. Both Let it Shine and BGT live rounds will be using Elstree. Prerecorded early rounds of both the Voice and Let it Shine used Salford. I very much doubt Strictly will ever return to tv centre, BBC have gone very quiet about any move back. They already have booked the George Lucas stage at Elstree for 2017 which is why the X Factor can't move there like BGT. |

London losing another great studio.
![]() It could easily make them 100s of millions redeveloped as apartments given the location. |

The London Studios has so many shows using it throughout the year especially daytime shows like GMB, Lorraine and This Morning as well as chatshows and panel shows that I think it's unlikely to close because it would too much of a hassle for ITV to move This Morning, GMB etc as they'd need to be in London and studio space is a premium at the moment.

Yes the oneness vignette is not good.
For some reason, it also feels very London. |

This was rumoured in the press when ITV Bought the freehold about 3 years ago, but hasn't been mentioned since I don't think. I also think they were more on about some or all of the the office tower part rather than the studios which would be a funny size for flats, although in any case it hasn't been heard of since.
It was around then they started making more of a big deal about the building and the live from the ITV Tower/ITV Studios tag lines, branding the outside, using the whole building more on Takeaway etc. |

From rzt:
BBC 1 Strictly Come Dancing: 10.70m (44.6%) * peak: 11.72m (47.7%) at 19.50 Planet Earth II: 9.67m (37.4%) My Mother..: 3.72m (15.0%) ITV inc +1 Off Their Rockers: 2.09m (10.1%) The Next Great Magician: 2.36m (10.2%) The X Factor: 6.26m (24.2%) * peak: 7.44m (27.8%) at 20.50 I'm a Celebrity: 10.53m (44.5%) * peak: 11.35m (51.7%) at 22.20 Fantastic for IAC. Nice to see it end on a high. Brilliant for Strictly. I wanted Planet Earth to get over 10m so we could have another night of 3 10m ratings. Ah well. Still fantastic. Don't think much can be said about X Factor. It's up on last week. Will be interesting to see how next week's Saturday show rates. Edit - the 2014 final of IAC got 10.52m inc. +1. So exactly the same scenario as two years ago. |

Off Their Rockers and The Next Great Magician should be left in 2016.
It would be nice to see this time next year, ITV managing to find a show that can pull in over 4m against SCD, instead of just settling for 1-3m. |

Great for IAC. I don't think it was the best series and a shame another reality star has won it. They need to start looking for the next series and find a few awkward characters.
