Corrie is doing decent lately.

Reports of its death have been greatly exaggerated...

On the other hand, EastEnders can't even crack 7m in the officials in *December*. Looks like it's going to have another tough year. Though the Emmerdale figure is making it look worse.

Strictly virtually tied with last year's Saturday rating of 11.93m, I'm A Celebrity ending on a high as well.

I'm happy to use the word soccer, we've been using it for around 100 years in this country. Contrary to popular assumption, it's a British word not an American one.
I did wonder there for a few seconds what you'd actually changed! Good job you spelt it out really otherwise I'd be still trying to work it out!!

The England team gets quite a lot of money from ITV. I wonder if ITV feel the ratings are worth the money. I would think they are.

I think ITV like the bragging rights that they have exclusive football rights. They rate well and probably get good demos with the young and male populations, but I get a feeling of default audience *runs* with England football games. The BBC don't help test the audience as they just wave the white flag when England play.

Didn't yesterday, of course, because BT had a match at twelve.”

That's why American TV channels have defined pre-game shows so that they can split the ratings. Sky probably don't because ratings aren't the most important metric to them.

150k watching XF on +1. 200k watching Corrie and Emmerdale on +1.

+1 is barely significant when it comes to ratings. My mum doesn't even realise it's an option and would never turn to it to catch up on Tipping Point. The ratings are so tiny you wonder if there's much point to them existing.

Edit... Though oddly IAC does well on +1 and of course ITV/C5 etc would have nothing to put on the replacement channels.

Not from a four contestant semi-final dance-off though. And it would be weird if the best dancer won, especially when suspicion of previous dance experience hangs about them. Basing the final result entirely on the vote leaves 'best dancers' especially vulnerable.

A load of GMB viewers also watch on ITV +1 to check the time.

Oh, can the smug attitude! There's nothing disgusting about it. Are you suggesting that they should have same-sex couples in the mixed doubles at Wimbledon? No, of course not. It's a complete non-issue dreamed up by BBC bashers.

Nobody has ever been excluded from Strictly on the grounds of sexual orientation or prevented from succeeding, Julian Clary reaching the final in only the second series. That's all that matters.

Same-sex couples playing tennis matches together would never work.

EastEnders new direction has clearly fallen flat on its arse. As a fan of the show, I'm not really impressed with the way it's going. Christmas Day is also going to be one of the show's quietest, EE used to unmissable on Christmas Day.

Surprised the X- Factor got 7m viewers. Show could have been done and dusted in 45m but was dragged out to 125m. Some of the guest performers on it were tragic.
The show seems to be all about Nicole. A diabolical series with less viewers than last years shambles.

Switched from Monday to Friday - I have no idea why. Maybe they think it doesn't need the University Challenge leg up anymore and An Island Parish does?

I think it's important to point out Will came out a few days AFTER winning Pop Idol. Indeed the sun printed several letters the following Thursday with viewers *blasting* Will and saying they wouldn't have voted him if they had known. I've still got the press cuttings.
