In the thread in the General Discussion forum someone asked if they were going to allow avatars and the answer was "no", so I imagine the same will be true of signature art.

I think the BBC need to scrap their music awards show. Nobody cares and nobody is interested.

ITV tried it in 2003, and I don't think it worked out well.
International auditions would be different but really, it'd be expensive and if they would still have to come here for the other rounds so it is ultimately changes little. Daft idea. |

Can't remember who replied but he/she was right, it just clutters up a forum. Considering I only use my phone, the last think I need is more scrolling space.
We should be okay in here though. |

#BBCMusicAwards attracted 2.2m/10.4% to BBC1 from 8.30pm @ClaudiaWinkle @Fearnecotton http://www.overnights.tv
Can only echo what others have said: time to accept defeat and give up on these. |

Ouch.

The problem is that a one-off show isn't going to achieve much and chart music doesn't rate that well anymore, ask TVUK, XF or Radio 1. They clearly want this to be the equivalent to SPoTY but it's not being launch in the 60s and there's already the Brits. |

The BBC Music Awards need to go. For all the criticism X Factor gets, it does a good job of reaching the audience the BBC Music Awards tries to do. Young people and decent numbers. The Brits does this too. When winners don't want to go to your awards it's time to stop.

I know 16-34 audience doesn't maŁŁer to the BBC but it still does matter. What they're trying to do is right, I would rather they launched an actual series that had bands on. A variation of Jools Holland's show? People aged 50-64 watch twice as much tv as 18-34s. People over 65 watch 2.5x more than 18-34s. An advertiser might consider an 18-34 year old to be worth 2x what someone over 50 is worth. Considering that they spend more too, 1m 18-34 year olds might be worth over 3m older viewers. Of course this is for ITV, C4 and C5 rather than the BBC or sky. |

EE is now firmly in 3rd place. Not only has it dropped below Corrie, but is now below Emmerdale by nearly 600k, and 7 share points away.
But as low as it gets now, on NYD it will get a basic default viewership. Not because its must see, but because it used to be must-see and the audience are still tuning in expecting big episodes. BBC Music Awards piss poor rating. I watched the whole thing. Trying to create atmosphere by keep saying, 'the atmosphere here is electric isn't it' with every artist they come across. I irony is, I bet the BBC had a younger audience watching BBCMA than much of their usual schedule anyway (bar EE) The royal doc on ITV was pretty poor as well. It felt like a bit of nothingness. I prefered the Ant & Dec one earlier this year. |

I think the past few Christmas ratings have disproved that theory, no?
But I think each year the show weakens, it looses its pull to the casual audience. |

Abysmal overall figure for the Music Awards. They would really have been better off making it part of the 'winner's weekend' thing, possibly squeezed inbetween the two parts of the Strictly final even. Quote:
It really would not be appropriate on a family show.
