A fantastic show in series 1 ruined by over-ambition, poor writing, and Channel 4's declining reputation in series 2. It's clear to everyone that series 1 should have been a complete story and done. I've no sympathy, I'm afraid.

Was there a specific reason they couldn't show Humans in the same slot as last year? (may have been Olympics/Euros/something similar)?
You'd think after it proved a hit in that slot, they'd leave it there. Reminds me of when ITV moved Ninja Warrior (though that turned out miles better obviously).

A very specific reason. It wasn't ready for broadcast. Filming for the first series began the previous Autumn. The second series only began filming in April.

CBeebies does some good quality programming for the children. CBBC however has waned a bit from when I watched it some 12 years ago. But CITV though seems to be struggling. I remember when the new Pokemon Anime episodes used to rate really well.

The guy who plays Mr Tumble/Justin should be raking it in. He's a modern day Geoffrey from Rainbow or Matthew from Sooty and Sweep.

The only children's star bigger is the almighty Peppa Pig. I hope she doesn't end up like McCauley Caulkin.
I also worry about George, for a two year old he really shoould be able to say more than just 'dinosaur'.

The junk food advertising ban really hurt CITV in terms of investment. ITV didn't see kid's programming as financially viable and withdrew from it almost completely. They're starting to return now but it's a shadow of what it was. CBBC has dipped in recent years too with ratings. Only CBeebies seems to be flourishing.

I always thought CBBC's strength was the dramas which appealed to older teenagers as well (The Dumping Ground - the spin-off from the Tracy Beaker series being the most recent example I can think of).

Mr Tumble/Justin Fletcher must be raking it in, by the looks of things he's easily the most popular children's presenter around in Britain. I can't get over his resemblance to Hal Cruttenden and Martin Roberts though.

That Monday score for Coronation Street looking very healthy in the scheme of things. I don't like getting into the "Eastenders should be getting" game, but you would be expecting Eastenders to be at 7.88 million not 6.88m (in relation to the other soaps). Its looking a bit sorry there.

I bet he does. He's very good and I'm sure he can do as many live appearances as he wants.

The channel my kids want is Nick Jnr but I like them to watch CBeebies too as it isn't just toons and has educational elements. To be fair to the American toons like Dora and Bubble Guppies, they also ask the viewers questions so they're much more educational than the old WB types of toons.
I do like how we get some of the American ones to be dubbed in to British accents. I believe Peppa isn't dubbed by American TV.
