Good for Enders and Holby holding up.

Thanks

Which tells us, POG series didn't do well at all. Its nice to see a bit more effort put into Tuesday, but its had no promotion, so struggled.

I think it was setting off a new series for when ever it can be made. There were lots of new plot lines which were opened up, they weren't really Christmas specials as such.

Good rating, but I would have thought it would be closer to 6m.

Thanks Ray

So about 6.5m for Emmerdale in all. The Cruise rpt is a massive improvement on the male skewed fishing factual series, who'd have thought it. Jean Alexander tribute didn't do that much at all. Beaten by the dull and dreary Holby.

Holby held up well considering the Tribute on ITV which I thought might have been higher.

Alan Carr dooing well. I notice the last ep of this on Friday it at 11pm.

The Supervet did better last year at Christmas. Classic Ch4 over-exposure. Again!

The tribute would have worked perfectly on a different night straight after Corrie.

Solid for Last Tango in Halifax and Holby. Inside the Christmas Factory did really well on BBC Two.

EastEnders is solid vs Monday. Emmerdale might be near the 7m mark which is good enough. Based on those exc HD/+1 figures, ITV didn't have a dreadful Tuesday - they look like they were above 2m across the night which is the least they can expect now but the Paul O Grady documentary, surprisingly, struggled.

BBC4: Top 3 (7pm-12.0)
Digging for Britain: 0.61m (2.9%)
How the Wild West Was Won with Ray Mears (R): 0.53m (2.5%)
The Inca: Masters of the Clouds (R): 0.27m (1.8%)

I suspect there is now a whole generation of viewers who don't remember her, she left in 1987 (in fact probably two generations).

A good night for BBC2. Inside The Christmas Factory was my favourite programme last night. EastEnders with 30% share which is good. Not sure about how it will do over Christmas though.

I think fans of Corrie would have watched it anyway, I did despite only ever hearing of her character.

I think, " The Cruise" is the third time thst episide has been shown, maybe fourth, talk about recycling. It started on Thursdays at 8.30 and had a late night repeat post ten, then a repeat in peak time, and now shown again. I assume ITV executives get a free Royal Caribbean cruise for the advertising.

Poor scheduling of the Jean Alexander tribute, should be on post Corrie, and not against another soap.

Alan Carr disappointing poor scheduling by C4 again.

Birds Of A Feather is opposite EastEnders on Christmas Eve, and follows Corrie. Now usually this situation on BBC1, Corrie would be dented, but I think much of BOAF audience watch EE. So is it more likely Biirds will struggle.

Perhaps ITV are inspired by Mrs Brown's Boys on BBC1.

Its not poor scheduling by Ch4. But I think Alan Carr might have been over-exposed on Ch4. Chatty Man was never really off our screens.

Nice little increase for EE, the bad weather on this Christmas week should certainly help.

I think it would have done better after Corrie too. But a whole generation also don't have a clue who Hilda Ogden was and wouldn't watch the tribute. That could be s reason why ITV moved it away from the Christmas schedules.

Is the Alan Carr scheduling not Jay Hunt's fault this morning then?

Did The Supervet face Masterchef: The Professionals last year? Supervet consolidates well but has been dented by Masterchef.

Hasn't Mrs Brown's Boys been repeated as much, if not more? I've lost count of the amount of times they've repeated that first episode in primetime.

As for Alan Carr being poorly scheduled, where else do you suggest they put it? 10pm nightly was, for me, the best scheduling for it. It's not doing great but there might be reasons for that.

Birds of a Feather has got somewhat of a headstart though, compared to going directly head to head with EastEnders on Thursdays. I can see it getting around 4m, which wouldn't be too bad I suppose.
