The ongoing saga of Channel 5's poor scheduling continues next week. Monday 29th had the new series of Police Interceptors at 8pm, their new documentary series Gangland at 9pm and the second episode of the third series of Tattoo Disasters at 10pm. Now they've ditched Police Interceptors and Tattoo Disasters, and relegated Gangland to Thursday at 10pm. Why start a new series of Tattoo Disasters tonight at 10pm only to dump it the following week? That show has been messed about enough, with series 1 on Spike and series 2 moving to 5STAR mid way through. All that messing around and what do they put there instead... another Hitler documentary and a showing of Schindler's List!
Virtually all of their main peak programmes next week are in the wrong slots, with the possible exception of Can't Pay? although I reckon even that would be better off on Mondays for all that it's proven to be very dependable pretty much wherever. But yeah, I give up sometimes I really do. If Tattoo Disasters was to launch successfully this evening - which admittedly is probably unlikely - it's going to be all for nothing when it disappears next week, as by the time it returns the CBB audience will be long gone. |

Barrel being well and truly scrapped, this will be the year SCD witnesses the start of the decline in ratings.
Strictly Come Dancing series 13 averaged 10.6 million. I'm calling it now, this year the average is 10 million. |

The sitcom season trailer is awful. Possibly the tackiest trailer I've seen for a long time. In my opinion it isn't going to attract people to watch anything because they don't know what they're meant to watch!

You're correct. The chances of Strictly being down this year are high, it posted very big numbers in 2015 which will be hard to top. Also, last year it was facing what were the most unpopular X Factor hosts and judges ever, particularly unpopular with older viewers - this year that's different.

The Strictly lineup looks quite good, and that's from somebody that doesn't even watch the show. Seems like a god variety.

been big fan for years but the lineup is utterly dire, a fat sleazy ex mp, a fake tv judge, I'm happy i am in the states as ill stick with DWTS.

SCD will beat XF in the series average - based on overnights, and not adding in every repeat showing XF gets all week on all ITV channels? SCD will be level or up this year on series average. XF mat get a slight bounce as it was hurt " additionally by the Rugby World Cup last year. The " pensioner" 3 judges who can't sing are far far worse than last years younger in touch judges. |

I have no idea who he or she is without using google. 5. I have no idea who he is without using google. 6..No problems with her as a participant. 7. Barrel scraping at its best as its from Hollyoaks and i have no idea who he is. 8.I have no idea who she is without using google. 9. No problems with her as a participant. 10. No problems with her as a participant. 11.I have no idea who she is without using google. 12.. Clear case of barrel scraping, flavour on the moment for five minutes now irrelevant. 13. No problems with him as a participant. 14. Barrel scraping to appeal to the Eastenders demographic. 15.Barrel scraping to appeal to no one in particular. Thats not a ratings winning lineup, thats Saturday night tv hell, one bad lineup and its all downhill from here on in. SCD has peaked so the decline has to happen now. |

All I can say is, if that was a lineup announced for an ITV show, i.e. IAC, then it would be regarded as barrel scraping on here.
Not all the names are, but there's a lot of fillers in there. |

For goodness sake just STOP. Every thread I look at is you moaning about X Factor/ITV/Syco/Simon Cowell. You are totally obsessed with it! We know you will never say anything positive/not bias, so why do you bother? The same points repeated many, many, many times over.
Anyway, X Factor will be up slightly and Strictly will be the same as last year in my opinion. Everyone here is talking XF and SCD but you feel I can't? My comments in the main have been in the correct forums, but when there are provocative posts here on SCD line up, then I feel I am allowed to counter balance? Can you see I am trying to get SCD posts to the correct forum here? The worst thing, is when a poster opens up a thread and mentions other posters in the opening post? Before they have even seen the thread? |

Well I wouldn't go quite that far, but if you were offered a place on a Dancing show and a 3 week stint in the jungle - which one would you choose (forgetting which channel either is on)

So....
Everyone here is talking XF and SCD but you feel I can't? Every thread I see in the Broadcasting section features you, always defending the BBC and bashing ITV. It gets very boring. You can comment on something without having to mention ITV or Simon Cowell, do you realise that? |

The jungle, dance training I imagine is a lot more draining then sitting on your arse for a few weeks and doing the odd trial. Plus strictlys on for 12 weeks, your only in the jungle for 3
And SCD is so much more glamourous than IAC. The closet realoty show IAC can be compared to is BB. |

I don't watch Strictly but to me that lineup looks really good as I actually have heard of all the people there, unlike other celebrity shows such as CBB where I knew one person.
