Barrel being well and truly scrapped, this will be the year SCD witnesses the start of the decline in ratings.

Something must be going on behind the scenes that we don't know about, because scheduling is one department of C5 that is normally very very solid indeed, with very few mistakes made, but lately some utterly asburd things are happening - particularly on Sundays - and it's happening more and more frequently.

Virtually all of their main peak programmes next week are in the wrong slots, with the possible exception of Can't Pay? although I reckon even that would be better off on Mondays for all that it's proven to be very dependable pretty much wherever.

But yeah, I give up sometimes I really do. If Tattoo Disasters was to launch successfully this evening - which admittedly is probably unlikely - it's going to be all for nothing when it disappears next week, as by the time it returns the CBB audience will be long gone.

You're correct. The chances of Strictly being down this year are high, it posted very big numbers in 2015 which will be hard to top. Also, last year it was facing what were the most unpopular X Factor hosts and judges ever, particularly unpopular with older viewers - this year that's different.

Strictly Come Dancing series 13 averaged 10.6 million. I'm calling it now, this year the average is 10 million.

I agree, it's awful, and how Goodnight Sweetheart or Young Hyacinth fits with 1980s Michael Fish is don't know.

Seems even younger than ever this year, only 3 stars over 41, obviously going for the young audience. There is a good half dozen or more who will be complete unknowns to anyone over about 50/60.

been big fan for years but the lineup is utterly dire, a fat sleazy ex mp, a fake tv judge, I'm happy i am in the states as ill stick with DWTS.

The Strictly lineup looks quite good, and that's from somebody that doesn't even watch the show. Seems like a god variety.

There is a " pants" thread but was started after only five celebrities were announced.

I wouldn't say they are all, " God's" but that is a heck of a line up, two Oylimpics stars who were in Rio last week, a big broad line up.

SCD will beat XF in the series average - based on overnights, and not adding in every repeat showing XF gets all week on all ITV channels?

SCD will be level or up this year on series average.
XF mat get a slight bounce as it was hurt " additionally by the Rugby World Cup last year.

The " pensioner" 3 judges who can't sing are far far worse than last years younger in touch judges.

Thats not a ratings winning lineup, thats Saturday night tv hell, one bad lineup and its all downhill from here on in. SCD has peaked so the decline has to happen now.

All I can say is, if that was a lineup announced for an ITV show, i.e. IAC, then it would be regarded as barrel scraping on here.

Well I wouldn't go quite that far, but if you were offered a place on a Dancing show and a 3 week stint in the jungle - which one would you choose (forgetting which channel either is on)

The jungle, dance training I imagine is a lot more draining then sitting on your arse for a few weeks and doing the odd trial. Plus strictlys on for 12 weeks, your only in the jungle for 3

Yeah but you are living and sleeping in the Jungle 24/7. SCD is training hard, but ultimately you do still get your luxuries a 'celeb' is used to.

And SCD is so much more glamourous than IAC. The closet realoty show IAC can be compared to is BB.

I don't watch Strictly but to me that lineup looks really good as I actually have heard of all the people there, unlike other celebrity shows such as CBB where I knew one person.
