Thanks Ray. Good to see BB get a boost especially in a 10pm slot. Great for 999 on Channel 4. EE back up a million from last night. Masterchef seems stuck on that figure, seems like no increase towards the end. Possibly 4m for the final next week.
Chicago Fire's non-success is sad to see. It should be on a channel where more should see it, so it's a shame to see. |

According to telly critic Kevin 'O Sullivan on The Wright Stuff, Big Brother has "been getting TWO million a night". News to all of us I'm sure.

Is it roughly true to say that the soaps have all lost roughly two thirds of their audience in the past 20 years ?

Well i guess they are talking about officially, it's been ~1.7m, probably best to say 2m than 1m

Bigging up Five shows is Kev's default (ker-ching!) so I see this inflation of just more of the same.
It's happened a lot of times with other shows, EE/Corrie was watched by 10m last night (when really that 10m comes from the timeshift peak). They do that with football all the time, the media always refers to its peak on newspapers. "England match was watched by 20m" when really it was watched by 15m. |

James Tatam, director of digital media and commercial development, Channel 5 said: "Taking My5 into the linear space is an exciting development following the success of our video-on-demand service, which has enjoyed rapid growth since rebranding in February."
Why they'd want to reference one of the worst catch-up services out there (doesn't work in Chrome) to launch this is a mystery. Anything to avoid calling it what it is I guess - A repeats channel.Does any word/phrase give Five more of a hard-on than "rebranding"? Maybe "linear space" does, yeah probably Linear Space..... Straight out of W1A! I see these geniuses have filled the gap left by Powers tonight on Spike with S1 ep 10 of Transporter for no apparent reason. Why do they need another repeats channel when the existing ones are so stuffed with them anyway!?!? |

On one or two devices at home the app hasn't been updated yet and it's still called Demand 5. |

Early signs of Kate Oates' time at Corrie look promising with the announcement of a strengthening of the Barlow family including Peter's return being announced at the press event today. Hopefully the ratings will follow.
