EastEnders: 7.66m (32.4%)
Thats's a good rating for EE, despite the episode being pretty underwhelming.

Aftermaths can sometimes be the highest ratings.

Better for EastEnders, makes the NYD rating strange. That is its highest rated episode in a year isn't it? Or thereabouts.

The same happened five years ago with Pat's death, the aftermath had a higher rating than the death episode.

Have you Silent Witness' rating to 2dp Ray?

When the overnights come out is someone able to give an average figure for the Darts last night (Sky Sports 1 + Sky Sports 3)?
Bump!

Thanks in advance

That is excellent. Imo though it was a poor episode and considering the show is supposed to be in a new, character driven era, they really failed to pack an emotional punch with the direct aftermath of the first big moment of the new producer's era. Can't see it hanging onto those extra viewers for long personally. Soz to come out of lurksville with such a dampener.
I agree. I don't usually watch EE, but I caught up with NYD and watched last night, but it felt like R&R hadn't actually died. I think they should have at least had the opening shot of them in the pool, just to bring it back to reality.

I said it yesterday. I had no idea Ronnie and Roxy were being killed off until it happened so the whole thing caught me off guard and by surprise. I imagine I wasn't the only one who didn't know what was going to happen either judging by the increase last night!

Hope it stays up because I think the new dude is working wonders. I'm enjoying the show more than I have done for several years.

I knew last night's EE would rate well. Coming after the exit of two relativity big characters in quite a harrowing way which got people talking, that and it being a bank holiday. I suspect however the ratings will be 'good' for the week and then things return to normal.

Finally a decent rating for Eastenders last night. It will be interesting to see the final rating for the NYD episode which may iron out its strange low number.

Fantastic for EastEnders. I think that lots of people would have caught up on new years day yesterday on catch up as the episode was on early but a fantastic figure but why did people not tune in on New Years Day? EE top soap at Christmas Then. I can see that consolidating to over 9m.

I really hope we get better aftermath tonight as last night was a bit of a messy episode for EE even though the acting was spot on.

I think NYD will add 2-2.5m so I can see it topping 8m. It deserves to anyway.

Well done, EastEnders. The episode last night wasn't brilliant but hopefully momentum can be sustained.

Thanks Ray.

BBC2 and Channel 4 did well. Looks like all the main channels did well except Channel 5. A trump card Channel 5 has though is Celebrity Big Brother.

Pointless getting a massive boost there, with no The Chase on. Inflated as wel by such high BBC News.

Excellent for the slow programme on BBC4
