It will do like a summer series I agree. It's not a real series. I'm not expecting 2m+ per episode. More like 1.7mish

I'm going to lower my CBB prediction slightly to 2.3m.

#celebritybigbrother launched on C5 to audience of 2.3m/11.9% - down 500k on 2016 launch @endemolshine @CalumBest http://www.overnights.tv Five won't be thrilled with that start at all. And New Life in Oz started really poorly, so a bad night for them all round except SVU which made the m/c top 10. |

Half of them have been on before and forgotten about. The other half I don't even recognise! RUNNING OUT OF NAMES, C5?
But my positivity is based on potential. Not the cast. |

The damage was done last summer in my eyes with Celebrity Big Brother and Bear winning. C5 get what they deserve now for pushing for him to win.

Why would you say this isn't a real series?

Saw this one coming.

They already did a good thing....no-one from those shows which everyone asked for. That's a plus..but will the younger generation be interested?? |

Tipping Point was on at around 5.00pm on Monday and had 2.85m. Impossible is better than Tenable in my opinion, that could work later in the day.
I was never going to watch Robson Crusoe or Paul O'Grady's sick/homeless dogs of the week. Both might have fared better on Wednesday with less competition. All that talk of not putting The Halcyon on Mondays made me wonder how it would have done tonight against light competition. How would Midsommer fare on Tuesday with an hour start on SW? Or even... Midsommer on Monday [gulp]. Quote:
Just from memory, ITV's News at Ten used to be in the weekly Top 20 quite a lot, and the 5.45 got big audiences too. Some of ITV's local news programmes would often be in the regional top 10s. So I think it's quite likely that the news would have been in the daily top 10s just as now.
Of course it is possible that the news was making weekday top10s but not the weekly top20 due to all of the weekend hits (Cilla, Noel, Beadle, Bruce, Bob, Daniels, Esther, MKelly, US dramas...). |

Good for EastEnders.
I watched CBB, but it's a pretty dull line up. Maybe last year's fakery being exposed live has damaged the brand? (Although anybody can really see it's fake). |

Gotta admit, I got a bit bored by the end of Impossible. I'm not a big fan of simple question and answer formats, it's probably why The Chase bores me. I like a gimmick.
All that talk of not putting The Halcyon on Mondays made me wonder how it would have done tonight against light competition. How would Midsommer fare on Tuesday with an hour start on SW? Or even... Midsommer on Monday [gulp]. I don't recall any news programme making the top20 when The Sun used to print it in the 80s. Maybe one was, maybe I don't remember that well or maybe the Sun excluded the news (unlikely). I do remember they changed the list to only have one episode per show because EE and Neighbours (and then H&A) took it over and made it pretty pointless. Of course it is possible that the news was making weekday top10s but not the weekly top20 due to all of the weekend hits (Cilla, Noel, Beadle, Bruce, Bob, Daniels, Esther, MKelly, US dramas...). I doubt we'd see two hour dramas on normal weekdays at 9pm so Midsomer on Mondays is out of the question |

What happened with Winter CBB? Wasn't it the highest rated one more often than not?
It'll do like the summer CBB. |

Dreadful for Big Brother, maybe people are finally done with trashy, nasty Z-list "TV".

Look at the EastEnders rating

Pleased to see EE above 7m still. They need a big story now to launch to keep viewers. That Lucy storyline did wonders for ratings.

EastEnders holding up very well. I really hope that they can continue rating like this for next few weeks as it looks set to be a great time for the show quality wise.

When was the last time EastEnders got 7m across a week? Thursday might be a stretch as it starts at 8pm.

I thought the ABC version was supposed to be a flop? Sounds like Mary and Paul could get back together and one of the C4 channels might pick it up.

Lewis did okay on Tuesdays but I think the Corrie lead in does help the dramas somewhat on the other days.

EE is back! And it was a stellar episode last night. ITV once again waving the flag on a Tuesday. This practice needs to be stopped. What is wrong with competition?

Just like Gogglebox, well down but still C4 highest rated? Is it eating dreadfully? Course not but it's still down 1m from last year. How many C5 shows are over 2m ever? Erm mm.....none? |

That's why I gulped, I meant Midsommer on at 8pm on a Monday. Okay, I confess, I forgot about EE is on at 8pm so maybe start at 8:30pm. It would still be a problem for the first episode of SW. Corrie I guess would temporarily go to Tues which would make life interesting for Holby.
