Sounds good. Looking forward to hearing more about the scripted drama. Also, a plea to the indies:

I'm hoping they've spent more money on this new drama than what they spent on Suspects.

The two nature documentaries sounds promising and clearly the success of Loch Lomond has been a key factor to these commissions. I'm glad 5 are still pursuing history programmes despite the fact it's not a huge ratings puller

It'll be interesting what they have planned for the Autumn, I'm guessing New Lives in the Wild is returning

Then they all head to bed... and BB said "goodnight finalists" like they do everytime on the last night.

Then HMs got up again because it was shot, the lights came back on and HMs were awake again. Basically they scripted that segment for tomorrows show, and then will edit it to look like it happened when they went to bed. BB then told them to "get ready, tomorrow is a long day" and I heard the word "take" heard a few times.

Big Brother is finished. Whoever was in charge of the feed tonight will get fired, most people will, and Rylan and Emma are getting a bashing on Twitter. How will C5 wriggle out of this one?”

It's a scripted reality show that's how it works.

Fantastic for Endeavour 1.13m is superb during Summer.

This rating highlights how worthwhile continuing to commission this drama is. I think this might be this drama's highest rating on ITV3.

Eastenders is doing comparatively well in its non clash slots but that's rather a sad looking figure. I don't know how many more ED clashes are coming up but I wonder if it becomes more and more regular over the year, what the BBC could do mitigate the impact. Good night overall again on the main channel though. August is going to look very healthy sharewise I would imagine.

Thanks Ray. Good for 999, looks like an increase. Very good for Endeavor on the digi channel.

I expect a big drop in the CBB Final tonight after the controversy and I think it is done for good now.

I doubt it. I expect it will just continue until its audince dwindle to nothing.

I expect the final to get 1.9m tonight.

Was that a new episode? I don't watch it, but I like to see programs fail after they been poached from other broadcasters, especially when the new broadcaster makes a big fanfare about it.

Hear we go. ITV will be trying poach Reggie Yates now then. Please let him stay where he is.

Reggie Yates already does Release the Hounds for ITV2 among other things. So I can only think this is a dig at ITV for no reason at all.

I just think how stupid of them.

To let that accidentally air live, it must have been intentional. There are around 10 staff members at any given time in the screen room, so all of them would have agreed to do what they did. Maybe they all got sacked prior and wanted to leave a "farewell gift" to C5.

It is so obviously scripted in parts and has been for years, I doubt anyone would be surprised.
I doubt it is finished , it is one of C5 biggest shows.

Kevin Lygo wouldn't say where the extra Corrie is going to be scheduled other than it's in a "marvellous" place. He's very optimistic about the show though and has said there will be quite big changes in production. Further, Kirsty Work asked if it was going to be a "hammock" for other shows in its new slot and he said it might well be.

Sunday 7.30pm please. 8pm for The Durrells (renewed for "more than one" series apparently). I would move Corrie from Friday to Sunday in January and then add the sixth episode later (either to Friday 8.30pm or otherwise).

Lygo comes across very sharp, shrewd and funny. I have high hopes for him at ITV. Such a contrast to Peter Fincham who managed to convey next to nothing in his interviews and leader debate last year.

Generally shrewd about whether he'll be changing the scheduling generally but did allude to it and talked about it being important where shows are and some have failed or suffered by being in the wrong place.

That's a pitiful overnight for the much hyped premiere of Nashville season 4 on Sky Living, but maybe it will do better in the officials.

Next week Nadiya faces DCI Banks. I'd expect a narrow win for Banks (possibly only with +1) but it'll be close. Mr & Mrs won't be a great lead-in but it should be an improvement on 500 Questions.

Speaking of 500 Questions, Kevin Lygo was really scathing about it today in his Meet The Controller session. Can anyone remember the last time a controller rubbish end one of their shows whilst it was still on air as I can't?”

Personally I thought it was fine, but would be more suited to 5pm than primetime (and reduced prize money!) - would be a PR red neck for ITV to shift it to then though.

Interestingly Gles said twice last night "this series" - wonder if ITV will follow through on this then given the disappointing ratings?

I'm getting a bit sick of being hit upon by ITV and BBC fanboys on here for making the odd negative comment about either one of them.

Agreed. Well, partly. I'm not sure there's any evidence of scripting per se, that is perhaps not the best word for what we are talking about here. Are certain scenes set up to an extent? Absolutely, as some viewers saw last night.

But this little end of series medley is a bit of a tradition and you can see how it might be convenient for them to record it in that way. I doubt very much it's common for them to do that kind of thing, and indeed many ex-housemates today have defended the show vigorously against accusations of fakery, when they simply could have not commented, adding weight to the theory that it's a rare incident.

So I don't think what happened is as bad as is being made out - or indeed evidence that the show in general is totally manufactured - however that's not to say it won't be very damaging because not everyone will see it that way, especially "fans" who have been cynical about the whole show for some time now.

I expect though the most significant thing that will happen as a direct result of this is the immediate cancellation of Live From The House.
