I like the idea of using the data from My5 to help shape the channel's schedule, although given the need to declare scheduling so far in advance, it may not work that well in practice.
There's still a lot of work to do with My5. On one or two devices at home the app hasn't been updated yet and it's still called Demand 5.

Aside from their story about ITV 'ripping off' Strictly with Dance Dance Dance (as in celebs dancing with a non celeb relative to recreate classic video and movie dance scenes with high tech very expensive special effects added) they also have an interesting piece promoting the Les Miserables production being made by the BBC.
No singing and closer to the original novel as a straight drama in 6 parts it is being adapted by Andrew Davies of House of Cards fame. This Morning today tried a new combo of presenters - Anita Rani and James Martin. They are doing the Friday shows this Summer. They were okay, if a little safe and dull. Will need to see if they grow into the job. |

BBC Three have cancelled Siblings. How ridiculous. Its overnights weren't great but I've seen it go top 3 on iPlayer - what more does an online channel want?

Think these cooking shows are coming towards the end of their mass popularity, still be decent raters but to many on to much.
I'm sure the BBC won't but if I were channel controller I would schedule Bake off to start at 7:30pm.

The Express is reporting that Loose Woman is getting a shakeup with some presenters facing the chop:
http://bit.ly/2alP8e8 This thread seems to be dominated by links to made up tabloid stories more than actual ratings in recent weeks. |

It was one of the best comedies on the telly! It made a change from the usual formulatic dross. I do wonder, are we in a decline era of comedy in the UK for the 2010s?

Master Chef does help to dent the Northern Soaps on itv and it is a good weapon to have against the soaps. I am not so much a fan of the celeb version, the version for joe public regularly attracted over 4 million viewers and is much better. I commend the BBC for providing an alternative to the soap blocks on itv.

Il be interested to see how many tune in for the Anniversary Games tonight. Some sparkling performances and a real appetiser for the Olympics. The Womens 110m Hurdles was the very definition of poetry in motion-well the winner is! Quite stunning.

![]() These type of shows on itv like GMB, This Morning and LW only survive due to the publicity they receive in the tabloids, depending on who's flashing their knickers or showing a bit of cleavage. |

Im sure they will have similar rules. I take it the news is on before it so Mrs Brown is on later and so the news isnt delayed.

Mrs Browns Boys Live tonight seems like a wasted opportunity. It is quite a big moment for a summer Saturday slot.

I can't see ITV's Dance, Dance, Dance doing anything other than flop.
If its a dance show its immediately going to be compared to SCD and you really cannot beat SCD is terms of entertainment value for viewers. |

I imagine a lot of BARB viewers are embracing the summer, many children had the last day of school yesterday, apparently millions of tourists each week travel overseas in the summer. Ratings are going to be down until September.
