Loving this, don't think I've seen Rafa play dubs before. I only have Freeview tv so haven't seen him at all in ages. Glad Andy's match finished when it did, good timing to switch to Rafa. Vamos!

Shame for Nestor and Pospisil.

I have to say the handshake and look between Sock and Pospisil was far from warm. Perhaps the Popsocks split wasn't entirely amicable - I assume Jack was the dumper.

Still lots more tennis tonight - Venus is still to play.

Shame Murray and Watson lost. But on the other hand, India don't win many medals at the Olympics (as far as I'm aware), so if you're gonna lose in the quarters, semis or final, then it may as well be to a country who doesn't have many shots at a medal. eg. GBs men losing to Fiji in the Rugby Sevens.

I thought that too but you've just explained it.

I've never watched tennis this late before. Should really be in bed but not while Rafa's on telly

The rumour was that ITV4 had secondary coverage rights for the US Open. Not sure if that is true or not (does anyone in here know?). But if it is true, then you could have some more late nights on freeview.

Laura and her partner won in the doubles, so Laura is now in the semi's of both singles and in doubles of the ITF tourny

Simon Reed on Table Tennis duty now. Talk about Jack of All Trades. Next thing you know, he'll be commenting on the Wrestling or Synchronised Swimming

I'm blaming you for that! - Spain a break down in the 2nd set.

Nadal in doubles is like hes on speed compared to how leisurely he is in singles.

They broke up after Wimbledon. Sock wants to focus on singles.
