Hingis and Timea still in action against the silent H's to decide which medal match they get. Not without drama, Hingis nearly killed Andrea with a volley to the face on MP.
Running away with the 3rd set now.https://twitter.com/lucysophiaj/stat...63856868843520 https://twitter.com/s_rajesh00/statu...58965291143171 |

Oof, Mergea got tight as a drum. FHs were going long and smashes were an ordeal. Tecau's smashes were quality throughout.

Well, despite having a horrendous headcold that was a pretty awesome evening in the end! I'm off to get an obscene amount of sleep before it all starts again tomorrow

I'm up, for other reasons, but saw the news on Rafa and Marc's win.
I have to say, I'm really pleased for him and I've been secretly cheering for him in these games, mostly the doubles too, it's a great one to win, especially with a friendship like theirs, really lovely scenes from this match and their semi win too. I wanted to say how pleased I was for all the Rafa fans here, your boy has had a tough year and this was a great moment in it, from not knowing if he could even play to a gold medal! Happy birthday Planets!!!! Have a great one! |

I haven't had anywhere near enough sleep but I was too excited to stay in bed!! Going to read back through the past few pages now, couldn't read them last night while the match was on. If it's not been asked already - does anyone know where I can watch Rafa and Marc's medal ceremony? I can't find it on You Tube. Thanks.
