Tough for Kerber and Puig to have to follow that match, Haven't see Puig play all week so can't really judge her level, but I'm expecting a relatively easy win for Kerber.

I feel a bit sorry for Rafa and Kei having to play again to sort out the bronze, they must feel so deflated. Think Rafa will get it - especially if Kei plays like he did today!”

i always thought they should give both losing semi finalists a bronze

It starts at 1.27 tomorrow morning and lasts as long as it takes Mo to get round in front.

I was going to say it probably did your blood pressure good but I think I would have had a fit if it happened to me. Definitely time to finish off that Prosecco

At this point i'd go for that. I'm not sure my heart could take another stress out like that.

Just remember, Rafa already has a gold. It is my new mantra.

It's impossible not to happy for Delpo though, he is so lovely and his win tonight was so deserved. I could tell in the way he served to bring up the TB that he was going to win.

I know!

me too I had tears in my eyes.

Pleased to be able to have high hopes for Delpo at the US Open. A bit of a shame they got rid of the ranking points too!”

A stat I posted earlier about Kei - since the USO final, Kei has now lost 18 out of 19 matches against top 10 players. Hopefully Nadal has enough in the tank.

Monica is so pretty. She's like a young Ursula Andress.

He was, number 4. But he's back now and it will make the circuit more exciting and totally balls up the seedings.

I been out all day and home to the news that Rafa lost. Oh well, still happy with either Delpo or Andy winning. I hope Rafa can still get the bronze.

It's been a great week for comebacks: Nadal, Delpo and Laura Robson.

And he won't get any ranking points for any of his olympic wins. Ridiculous...

I can't really take to Kerber. I might watch something non Olympics for a bit.

What time are we due to see Gary in his pants?

What a fantastic match. Even though I am a big Rafa fan and sorry to see him lose, I am delighted for Delpo. Best of 5 sets tomorrow - that fact alone must make Andy a big favourite.

Oh...extra popcorn-ing tomorrow - it's also a preview of DC tie in September, which is GB vs ARG in Glasgow. Crumbs.

I don't think we're gonna see Super Saturday again. Rutherford was shaky last night, two faults before scraping through on his last jump.

I feel much the same. Just so glad Rafa got that gold last night with Lopez

Happy either way for the final. Marginally I might say Delpo over Andy just because he has had such rotten luck with injuries and Andy already has one.
