Whatever anyone thinks of Kerber, you've got to love these counterpunch epics her style lends itself to.

Amazing matches today - I used to rubbish Olympic tennis but this has been great.

It is officially the Olympic Tennis of shocks! Does that mean Andy will lose, if the weeks tradition of shocks continues? I really hope not.

I wouldn't mind. If he had to lose to anyone, I'd like it to be Delpo. He really deserves this.

Wow!! What a match that was! Monica holding her nerve like an absolute demon against Kerber's relentless pressure in that last game! She could finish the year top 20 or even top 10 if she takes this form into the rest of the season.

Well, it's a bit difficult for him to lose to anyone else now

I've just realised, if Del Potro wins tomorrow that will mean he's taken out Djokovic, Nadal and Murray in just over one week.

I don't think anyone saw that coming. But if Venus or Serena couldn't have it I'm happy it's gone to a newbie. (Okay I know she's been pro for 6 years but she's a newbie to the big time.)
