I properly enjoyed Delpo and Pica's wins. Playing for their nation in a South American Olympics clearly means the world to them.
Pica will get a huge reception when she returns to Puerto Rico. She'll never have to pay for a meal/drink again. PR anthem was very nice.
Elsewhere, I know the Cincy draw is out but I'm getting strong vibes of meh. The court speed/bounce will be drastically different to Rio and those who reached the semis or better will be physically/emotionally drained. I know Andy is the #1 seed and all but he'd be in strong danger of losing early. For me, savour the silver/gold medal, go directly to USO, do not pass Cincy.

In short, Puig is more talented than Konta. Konta has the better serve and is mentally tougher, but Puig defends/moves better and possesses a very fluid and dynamic BH. She is comfortable hitting DTL on both wings.

Indeed. The best matches always involve contrasting styles.
For example, Petra/Keys is an eyesore. You'd have to pay me to watch

Yeah, I suppose so. It would mean a lot to Delpo to win on enemy territory and Andy already has a gold in the cabinet.

Reminds me of Indian Wells three years ago. Delpo beat Andy in the QF, Nole in the SF only to fall to Rafa in the final.

Kerber always gives cold handshakes in defeat. Aga also.
