I'm so out of the loop re: tennis schedule.

Are we in a proper MS 1000 week? (bar the big name absentees obvs).

Shapovalov is the 17 year old junior Wimbledon champion. The one with the long blond locks
On my phone, too lazy to look it up!

Agree with the Bedene comments, think the whole DC mess has taken it out of him, esp with it being an Olympic year, not being able to play. Wonder if he regrets becoming GB? Also, when he does win he is overshadowed but Kyle and Dan or whoever. Willis, even.

I know what you mean, it's all over the shop with the Olympics.

It's the Rogers Cup this week, women in Montreal, Men in Toronto.

I'm excited to see Garbine today, I hope she is looking better than she did at Wimbledon.

A really good win for Naomi Broady because Monica Puig has been playing well this year

It's a really good win, it's a shame she's up against Muguruza next. Sorry Naomi but it's Garbine all the way for me.

With any luck she's over her slump, though I wouldn't bank on it.

I don't think we can count 2 losses as a slump just yet. A little more positivity please! She is not going to slump I won't allow it. We will see Muguruthless tonight, I just know it.

I see Nick was his usual petulant self last night. Bitching about not wanting to play any more. Put down Pokemon Go and put the same effort into bettering yourself as a player.

One person who could sort Nick out is Andy. Drag him to his training block in Miami and put him through his paces.

He still creates a lot of interest which is good.

He can easily be a future #1 if he "wants" to.

Being a total snob, I don't see Pokemon Go as much of a game, nice to see people out and about with it though. The social aspects are cool, the game itself.... meh.

And so ends Jenny's review.

Hahaha. Probably not.
I tried after AO, I just can't do it. Henin was the same.

Managed to somewhat like Hingis in the end, so there is still hope.
I like your honesty.

Maybe in time you'll see her as you see Hingis.

No. Lucie's playing doubles with Timea Babos for reasons I don't understand.

Dimi was playing with Stan in the mens doubles last night.

I wonder if Nick's lack of interest in gen is to do with his girlfriend? She is still rehabbing after surgery.

I bet Kvitova is glad to be out of that nightdress. Well all of them actually. They look much nicer in a white vest and pleated skirt.

All 4 Brits in the Kentucky ITF qualifying round lost. 3 of them had been seeded to win.

There appear to be some lucky loser spots available though.

I love Fed when he is floating through his matches. It has to end sometime and I don't want to see a gradual decline.
The Olympic singles will be missing from his CV.

It all stems back to that freak bath incident.

Such a shame, Fed had basically scheduled his year around attempting to complete the set in Rio. I was so looking forward to seeing him pair up with Hingis as well.

So sad about Roger I feel so bad will miss watching him over the next few months.

Can't bear to think that the end is near.

I shouldn't be, but I am surprised at this. I hope things work out like he plans, I don't think I could be so optimistic in his position.

Maybe he just came back too soon after the knee surgery.

I don't see it as a big deal, it's never been that big of a title in tennis, Samprass doesn't have one either and Roger has a gold in tennis anyway.

My disappointment levels are quite high about the mixed doubles, I was so looking forwards to that pairing, it had the potential to be something special.

I also do think, that even though he clearly wasn't fully recovered at all, he made the Wimbledon semis and pretty much had the match in his hands to make the finals.
