there is absolutely loads of them....

someone on the rio thread just posted that they held the plane for Andy

Mentioned that earlier, love the announcement "We apologize for the delay to this flight as one passenger is late arriving due to receiving a Gold medal"

So a great day for British tennis.

Andy wins a 2nd Olympic gold.
Dan Evans wins an ATP Challenger
Laura Robson wins an ITF singles & doubles (with Freya Christie).

I'm not sure we've had a better day?

Also, I'd give a shout out to Cameron Norrie for getting to the challenger final, it sounds like he did incredibly well.

Well.

The tennis started with Delpo stuck in a lift needing to be rescued by the Argentina rugby players and Andy poking Princess Anne with the flag.

Who would've thought this outcome, eh?

I think it'll be Whitlock, 2 golds in two hours is pretty impressive.

Andy might not get top 3, depending on how the rest of Olympics goes.
Not fair. Murray's match lasted over four hours!

Love Andy, but someone like Max would benefit from that sort of award a lot more, and he'd thoroughly deserve it. A very remarkable achievement from him.

that's Nadal's excuse sorted!

did you just see the interview with Inverdale? Poor Andy playing in Cincy on Weds is it too much to hope that his opponent gives him a w/o?

yes i saw it he looked totally spent no energy left at all.
you'd think they'd give them some kind of dispensation.
seems the more you win the less recovery time you get
if you're rubbish and out in the first round you get time to prepare!

Oh that is harsh. I bet he's starving.

Perhaps with the late finish they thought it would be better to go in the morning.
