They've been making waves, what with the share deal with the BBC for the Wimbledon finals and future coverage of the Olympics. Now if only they could use some of this cash they suddenly found to bankrupt BT Sport and take back coverage of the WTA tour.

Although rankings state otherwise...I would say that Andy is arguably the best player in the world right now.
And I do mean at this moment (ie the last month or so) I would actually say that Djoko played better against an 'on fire' Delpo than Andy played last night against an understandably fatigued Delpo. Just my opinion but as I said if you don't agree, read back through the thread. |

Too emotional to take the match in last night. Watching now what a match. Kudos to both players particularly Delpo who was running on fumes more than Andy.
I am so happy. Just love Andy. Most genuine player out there. Sleep is for wimps. Sleep is for wimps.

Whilst I would agree that Djoko hasn't been playing like the world No 1 lately I think it's safe to say Andy didn't play like the best player in the world at the Olympics either. If you disagree just read back through this thread.

I didn't post last night as I was exhausted and highly emotional! Not a good combination.
Firstly, Congratulations to Andy on successfully defending his Olympic title and winning gold again. Some summer he's having! ![]() Secondly, I'm so proud of Delpo. The players he defeated to reach the final. The way he played. I'm so happy and thrilled that he got the silver medal and went one better than London! ![]() Andy on the other hand only played one top 20 player and that was Kei, who most on here don't rate at all. ![]() Well someone had to say it.

He really did have an unbelievably tough draw together with a tough schedule, having to play that gruelling match the night before the final. I think he was the true star of the Olympic tennis.

Oh yeah they are in the minority, he is incredibly popular, especially now he is no longer winning everything. I expect the same will happen with Novak when he eventually slows down a bit. But it's not rare to find people that don't like him, there are still plenty about.
There used to be a poster on here who was adamant that everyone in the world hated Rafa based on Menstennisforum posts, it amused me greatly. She was a big Novak fan, I often wonder how angry she would be to read this thread these days, |

The ever popular John Inverdale gets corrected by Andy Murray:
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/vi...deo?CMP=twt_gu Apparently, 3.3 million were watching the tennis at 10pm, but I expect it will have dropped off a lot by midnight. It will be interesting to see how many people hung on until the end. |

I swear, news is going downhill. You could always rely on the Mail to willfully mis-represent what someone says to engineer offence, but now everyone is joining in. Some of the stuff said about Inverdale today has been hateful - all because he tried to congratulate Murray on being the first ever tennis player to win two singles golds, but forgot to specify he was talking about singles. It's telling that no-one thinks Inverdale thinks all of the male double gold winners don't exist, or aren't people, or whatever click-bait claims were made by the various sensationalist articles covering a very selective bit the story.
It would appear she was here: http://www.palace.it/en/hotel-espace-henri-chenot.htm Steve Johnson is a bit of an idiot. Like it wouldn't upset people if Delpo knocked out Djoko or Nadal early? (like, he just did that!) Maybe if it was an American woman, sure but are the US men as beloved as all that? ![]() ETA: Oh, Milos ![]() ![]()

Oh that was like the biggest meltdown ever.
It was kind of fun, in a way... Then she lost 1R to Dokic at W a few weks later... As far as the Hlavackova incident is concerned, I would have thought she could have shown rather more concern. I don't know if she did, but surely she could have gone to see if Andrea was OK. I think the umpire got off his chair to check, I think she should have gone to her too |

I quite agree. I don't think it helped that it was Inverdale who said it after all the Marion stuff. Which reminded me about Marion and so I looked on her twitter.

Bleugh. Well that's me listening on the radio then as Eurosport doesn't seem to be available without some expensive package that would mean I'd have to change broadband providers. Not happening just for one slam. If Andy makes the final I'll watch on an illegal stream as I can't pay to get it on TV.

Good. I hope Kerber has the sense to pull out too. Zero point to Petra playing New Haven as well, although maybe she needs it to guarantee herself a top 16 seed in New York?
Haha attackmusic, she started out pretty normal and got more deranged as time went on. Still just cause that account got banned it doesn't mean she's no longer here, she's probably re-registered under a new name. Yes I remember her, she did not like Rafa I have often wondered if she registered under a different name.

If you have a computer or tablet, you can get Eurosport for the month. It's only £6.99 or something I believe. I do this for the Australian every year.
