Has BT sport seriously ended their Tennis coverage for a highlights show?
They are on BTS 1 at the moment.

Oh thanks, I scrolled through the channels and the guide is saying UFC is on BT Sport 1, but it's actually tennis.

Konta really is looking impressive, she'll be top 10 by the end of the year for sure

I can't believe how far she has come in twelve months.
I can't believe how well she is playing considering she won a final on Sunday.

Yes considering she's travelled to Canada from the States and was on court against Venus on Sunday her composure and focus is remarkable, her sports psychologist deserves a knighthood because that is her main improvement

She did really well considering how tired she must be feeling.

It will be interesting how Broady does against Muguruza as Muguruza is a potential third round opponent for Konta, and Konta has a decent record against her

Looking as if Muguruza has withdrawn from the tournament. Unfortunate for her and it sounds as if it is the injury she's been struggling with, it does, however, boost Konta's chances of getting to the quarters.

I've just tuned in expecting to see Broady? But Broady has a new oponent and on a different court? Why does she not just get a W/O to Round 3, like in the slams?

EDIT: They've now switched to the Broady match.

This day just keeps getting better. Early night for me then.

As it's the first round they have bought in a lucky loser.

That's exactly what they have done. But this is a second round match though.

True but maybe because Garbine hadn't played yet.
They say she has a stomach bug and only pulled out ten minutes before match.

So Lepchenko gets to jump from losing in the third round of qualifying straight to the second round of the main draw? Doesn't seem right to me.

Some lucky losers are luckier than others.

Weird news about Roger, and like others have speculated retirement must surely be a possibility. I mean it'd take a miracle for him to win a slam again or even get to a final. Personally I think if he comes back next year he'd be able to maybe reach a couple of SF's & QF's, but to go beyond that would be a monumental task. Still, stranger things have happened, but it's increasingly looking like game over for Roger. Future of the ATP looks quite bleak at the minute, although to be honest it has for quite some time.

Very sad about Roger, and he will also drop out of the top 10 for the first timke since forever, and miss the chance for Connors' record (even if he has PR right?)

I'm feeling a bit more optimistic when he says he does this to focus on "a few" good additional years on the tour. I think we can see him until end of 2018 at least. Maybe there is a small chance he could compete in Tokyo as well.

Is Roger currently still no 3. To be so high after such a year is impressive

I don't know, this time I do feel like he will come back, I'm not sure he will accept that ending to his great tennis story. Of course you never know, but if he can give it one more shot, he will. I feel he loves the sport so much, other guys who retire when they get an injury are already quite jaded with the tour.

I don't think that fall in the fifth set vs Milos helped at all, it's bloody annoying as he should have been in the locker room at that point. But he said he's never had a fall like it and obviously on an already dodgy knee, well it cannot have helped.
Apparently Swiss journos were talking about him having had fluid removed from his knee before the announcement came.

Yes, although he will drop after Cincy as he is carrying points of a win and US open final.

He is number 10 in the race, which also says something, although Rafa is at four and considering his year is amazing and disappointing, because it says something about the players behind him. Rafa didn't play Wimbledon, didn't win a match in Aus and pulled out after the second round at RG. And Kei is number 5, I don't remember him being healthy all year.
The ATP is becoming a bit of a sham, it's Novak then Andy then nobody!
