Kerber's march to number 1 continues.....

I finally get to see Garbine play live instead of recording her matches in the middle of the night. She had better not lose now!

Heather Watson loses to a much lower ranked player in New Haven Qualifying Round 1.

Watson has also yet to win a main draw match at the US Open as well.

Not great confidence for her going into the Open.
Oh, Heather, Heather, Heather what is going on?

Gutted Tsonga lost especially to Johnson. Pleased Andy won
Watched the 2nd set of that match and thought the comms were very biased - it was all about Johnson and it was like Jo was a nobody.
Don't like the beard though - hope he gets rid of that.

Another great win for Dimi, although I didn't see the match.

Evo and Kyrgios are teaming up in doubles at the USO.

Two of a kind sticking together.

Jo has a beard!? Mais non!

As for the comms - US player, now no.1 US Player over Isner. They'll be getting excited he can do something (where every male US player has failed to do since Roddick).

What channel was it on??
It was on BT Sport 1 once the Garbine match had finished, so they joined the match part way through the first set.

Thank you Alas, unfortunately it appears to have fallen on deaf ears.

Crazy to think Kerber is now just two wins away from the #1 ranking. Whilst I'd be happy to see her make it, I'd be a little sad that Serena wouldn't get to beat Steffi's record of most consecutive weeks at #1. I hope Kerber isn't worn out by the time she gets to New York either. There's be a certain irony to a German stopping Serena from beating Steffi's record though!

Intriguing to see Muguruza getting wins in Cincinnati as well, hope she can bring that to the US Open. Still not really sure what Andy is doing there, I personally believe he chose to play cause it was the honourable thing to do rather than the right thing. Didn't see Nadal's match but I can't imagine he'd have been too devastated at losing and taking an early flight to NY.

Hingis/Vandeweghe doing great in their new partnership. Bye in the first, then two walkovers to take them straight into the semis.

I think Andy thought sacrificing defending the Canadian title was enough, without losing more points in a second 1,000 and don't they have strict rules about pulling out of Masters tournaments

Was hoping Andy's match would be on by now.

Could be a while yet.

Nobody wants to risk losing an eye to Hingis.

Oh yeah! Completely forgot he pulled out of Toronto! And sure they have rules, but they can hardly do anything about it if he has a "left shoulder/elbow injury", or whatever they excuse du jour is whenever a player pulls out of a tournament they don't want to play.

It certainly has.
I will continue to post facts as I see them, despite your total overreaction so it might be an idea to place me on ignore.

Keep waking up expecting to hear Andy has lost or withdrawn but he keeps winning.
Watching a replay now his back seems very stiff.

Worrying. Hopefully Milos can do what others haven't and send Andy on his way (not often you'll hear me say that! Also nice for Milos).

Imagine if Hingis and Mirza meet in the final, could be a bit awkward. Be interesting to see who would come out on top.

I thought you were "saying no more"?

Ok, I'll try one last time. The issue wasn't with any "facts" you have posted, the issue I had was that you're selective in the "facts" you post in an effort to undermine the victories of players you don't like. In the instance in question, it involved Andy Murray. Why even say it at all, directly after he's won? It was patently obvious you were trying to undermine his win by hiding behind the "easy draw" excuse, particularly given the fact that you've done it on several occasions before. All I was doing was pointing this out, the fact you were clearly trying to undermine his win, and the fact that you've got form for it. I'd hazard a guess that quite a few people on here agreed with me but chose not to get involved for the sake of peace. So please, if you're going to continue to posts facts as you them, you can't then complain when I do exactly the same thing about you and what you post on this thread.

No British representation in New Haven but over in Winston Salem we have some:

Kyle plays Ranjeev Ram
Dan plays Gastao Elias
Alijaz plays a qualifier

Liam Broady is in qualifying and plays an American WC.

Fritz and Tiafoe play each other - could be an interesting watch
Kokkinakis is also back and plays Youzhny

It's amazing to see Garbine in the semi finals when she has never won a match at Cinci before. Yet her confidence appears to be so so low at the moment. I just don't know why, its not fun watching her at the moment struggle like this.

Edit: Well that was a fast first set.
