A lot of players are coming out of their matches today saying how physically sapped they are from the humidity. As they've been saying on comms, it doesn't help that the players go from freezing cold interview rooms etc, straight out into an oven. Sudden changes in temperature and combined with the humidity is a bad mix.

I wonder if all that heavy breathing and noises she makes when she plays made her hyperventilate in the heat. She's pretty quiet now.

Isner was getting bad cramp during his match.

It was 91% here in Michigan on Sunday. 70% today. Too much for a simple gal from Manchester.

And she breaks. Pironkova must be really pissed.

Her body went into shock from over-heating. Heather was not far off from being in the same state yesterday, also struggling to breathe.

It's almost like Alize Cornet has possessed Jo.

I thought the second set still had to be settled. All of a sudden Konta is breaking in the third set. She has recovered and she will win.

The heavy breathing and noises she makes probably made her overheat even more. All those noises players make use up too much energy in conditions like this. She's stopped doing it now thankfully.

Andy is 2nd on Ashe tomorrow and Broady vs Aga on at the same time, around 6ish, with Dan on around 9pm.

Pironkova will be pointing her finger at her if Jo wins. "I know what you did".

Good win for Woz. Not seen her play that well for ages.

Konta basically going to drop shot Pironkova to death for the rest of the match.

It's fantastic we're having a great time seen so many top players. What I like about Ashe is there is very little queuing for anything, whereas places like Wembley the queues just go on and on. Toilets you just walk right in...

First day we were in Loge seats (middle upper) which was great as we were under the shade. Today and yesterday we're courtside which is nice and all but you suffer in the heat. If I came again I would get the Loge seats.

Will walk around in a bit to go and check out the other courts.

Well run tournament and we've enjoyed our time. Will be watching on the box tomorrow like everyone else though.

If you walk over to where the water fountain is, past the food area you will see Chrissie and Co doing their commentary in the ESPN media zone.

Wow what a turnaround if Jo can serve this out. If the shoe was on the other foot the British commentators would be saying Jo was cheated. But they are saying it was a gutsy win for Jo.

That sounds fab!! Glad you are surviving the humidity!!!
I saw your post earlier about people walking about during play and chatting and i was dragged out and shot under the Cliff RIchard Statue at Wimbledon for doing that.
Don't think i've been to ANY sports venue where i didn't have to queue for ages for the loo!! the worst was Lords.

There was a poster who was at Rio and used to post a review of his day i loved reading it!
Have a fab time!

Konta recovers after the medical time-out and comfortably wins the final set.

Serves it out to love. The near-death experience did wonders. Completely blew Pironkova's momentum. Bencic up next, could be a real doozy now Belinda is back in form.

Great comeback for Jo, God knows how she did that.

I'm still betting on acting lessons from Alize.

Pironkova I thought allowed the whole medical drama to bother her too much. She helped Jo win the final set a little more than she should have IMO.

Admittedly courtside you have to wait until the players have their break before you can enter the court. The upper levels you can do what the hell you like, my only minor criticism of the event.

If it was one of the Williams sisters instead of Konta Tracey Austin would be telling the world about it for the next thousand years.
